WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY THE AMAZING GREAT GREY OWL - Lappuggla (Sweden). Nikon Z9

Come out into the forest in southern Sweden in 2023 and experience the great Gray Owl. We found two nests this year and I have not been able to show pictures and photos before because they are so rare here. If more people knew about their nesting site, they would be disturbed by loads of photographers. Now we managed to follow them from hatching until they become adult without revealing their position.

Why does the chics look differently? The one on right has pretty dark eyes, whereas the other not (12:10) ? Male / female, or? Since they are of similar or same age.

I think it's a difference in the plumage of the chicks, the one born first changes its feathers first
