- Today I am out to explore a variety of habitats to find and photograph some of the early migrant birds in the area, specifically the warblers. These small songbirds make long migrations into the northeast every year to breed and I want to head out to see what has already arrived in my local forest.
I was really pleased with the number and variety of species I was able to find and even found a bird I have never seen before as well as an owl!
If you’re local to Connecticut, and interested in learning more tips and techniques I use for my wildlife photography, check out my private guided photography sessions where we can spend a few hours or a day together talking all things wildlife photography. About Me:
I am a full time wildlife and nature photographer in New England. I hope to use my experience and education in wildlife sciences and ecology to help share the beauty of the natural world around us. It is my goal to use my videos and photos to share my experiences and inspire others to appreciate and feel a connection to nature.

I’m 61 year old woman with just a few years to retirement. If I had a career do over it would be to study Wildlife Science. I consider myself a lifelong learner. As a new nature photographer I am really drawn to your channel for all the knowledge you share about the natural environment and subjects. This really makes you unique! Please keep making these videos, I’m learning both nature field craft and photography from you. Thank you!!
Thank you for watching and congratulations on almost being at retirement! I appreciate the comment and glad to have you along for the journey!

Any places you’d recommend out in eastern Connecticut, Manchester area to go birding?
A great area is Station 43 in South Windsor, it is a Hartford Audubon Property and is usually very active with birds especially this time of year. Another spot I have heard of is Bush Hill Preserve in Manchester. I would suggest downloading the eBird app. It is a free app where you just need to create an account but it is run by Cornell lab of Ornithology. It has maps that show different birding spots and can be really useful.
Kindly tell me the model of camera and lense u r using,,, and cost of lense and camera?
Lense?
@@chephinet600mm f4 !!
I use the Nikon Z9 with the 600mm F4
He’s using some really nice pro gear. But there are other cameras and lenses that are much more affordable and you can still get great results!
@@Kellysher Thnks.. yes his equipment was really costly one
