- It was a November day that a young buzzard was killed in a lustful attack from a golden eagle.
I had just had my coffee and as it turned out I had the camera pointed in the right direction when suddenly a golden eagle appeared like a clear flash from the sky. Right off the bat, it certainly killed the buzzard, but then he drove his 7 cm long claws into the buzzard and already after somewhere between 5-10 seconds, the buzzard was dead and no longer moving. What an experience. My heart rate was high but I think I managed to capture it all on film and photos. All the other birds stung but magpies and crows stopped and made a terrible noise that you hear. Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time!
Equipment used in the recording. Nikon Z6 II with 400mm f/2.8 mm.
