I love this! However, if you're really listening, then please hear this: *_Get Affinity onto Linux!_* These past few weeks, I have seen numerous comments that the only thing Affinity lacks is a presence on Linux. Countless people are dissatisfied with both Adobe *_and_* Microsoft, and are going to be moving to Linux as their main driver in the coming months. *_NOW_* is a golden opportunity for Affinity to fill a massive, gaping hole in the market and potentially become the new industry standard by supplying a demand that has, up to now, consistently fallen on the deaf ears (including your own). *_For YEARS,_* people have been begging for a professional creative suite on Linux. Please, Canva/Serif, get the Affinity Suite onto Linux. Practical advice: Select a single Linux distro for its internal development (Fedora or SteamOS), then package and release it as a Flatpak. There is no longer a need to support countless package formats. One and done. If you need guidance, reach out to Valve, and I'm sure they would be more than happy to assist (what with their creation and promotion of Proton, SteamOS, and the Steam Deck).

Will there be any Affinity books like there was back when version 1 was out? I really would like to see more tutorials now.

This is a good product, but needs overall improvement on the RAW (develop persona) editor. Not just little, a lot of things needs to be done to improve it to compete with Adobe

I've been an Affinity user since it was shown at the Photo show in brum, it's fantastic, the only thing I want more is a Lightroom Affinity app to go with the suite, or a photo/LR "affinity" combo. THAT would be the killer blow to Adobe.

fui usuario de Adobe Photoshop por largos años, me mudé a Affinity Photo y desde que lo hice ahora ya no me hace falta para nada adobe. todo lo que hacía en adobe ahora lo puedo hacer en affinity photo con un flujo de trabajo que me encanta, primeramente, por el rendimiento genial y veloz del software y en segundo lugar por la interfaz gráfica. tanto los íconos, los accesos a ajustes rápidamente, los filtros en tiempo real que sustituyen a los capas inteligentes de photoshop, todo va mucho más fluido en Affinity Photo, los chicos de Serrif han hecho en verdad un gran esfuerzo. como dato adicional me encantaría que en el futuro con la adquisición de Canva pudieran meter algunas mejoras adicionales como selecciones automáticas para ahorrar un poco de tiempo, con eso estaría mucho más feliz, pero tal como está el programa ahora soy felizmente afortunado de usar un gran Software Para Edición y Fotocomposiciones.

I’m in already. Going through various tutorials. Six months free trial is long enough to turn one pro and to cap it, you own the software after buying. The rental as done by the other company can be too much.

Been using Affinity Photo since 2020 on iPad cause the photoshop was n still is crap I’m proud! Seriff s doing a great job😂 targeting Adobe. Keep on team.

Gave it a shot yesterday, coming from Adobe for many years. It was super easy to get used to it! It's also much lighter and faster! I'm super happy with it and I will buy the license in a couple of weeks. Please, do not screw this up, Affinity has an amazing chance to get some fantastic market share! We are all trusting you!

I am loving this software, it's getting good. I too am looking for a Photoshop replacement. I do miss Kyles lasso fill plugin for PS. I use Clip Studio Paint specifically because of the lasso fill tool.

I think what you're doing is absolutely awesome! Still, I have some doubt regarding the perpetual license. How do I know this isn't just a "plot" to get as many users as you can to get used to your software only to make it a subscription model, maybe slightly cheaper than Adobe but still a subscription model nevertheless. You got bought up by Canva a few months ago. They are known as a subscription service. Also, in September 2022 you tweeted "Ain't nobody acquiring us". A promise that you clearly broke. How can I trust you? It's not about the money for your products, the price is super fair. It's about the time investment I have to make in order to untrain my 15 year Adobe muscle memory... Probably this comment gets deleted anyway but if not I'd so appreciate an answer to that.

I bought the Affinity Designer 1 - years ago, and today I got an even better deal than 50% off the bundle, I think it was exactly 62.5% off :) as I paid 60 instead of 80 bucks, for ALL, like what? iPad versions included, also both Windows and Mac, CRAZY GOOD. Adobe can eat *you know what*...

I've been using a 20+ year old program for all my image editing and today I stumbled across a video complaining about Adobe's terms of service and recommending Affinity. Low and behold, not only do I find it on sale with a 6 month trial, but also that the promotional price will still be honoured at the end of said 6 months, with a perpetual license. That is the absolute best deal i've ever seen any company, software or otherwise, offer to consumers. I'm in.

Years ago I purchased the version 1 suite to leave Adobe software but yours still had a lot of bugs. Then I also purchased version 2 hoping that many of the bugs present in version 1 had been resolved but to my great disappointment everything remained as before. Already from version 1 I had also recommended adding indispensable functions (overprint control and color/plate separation, possibility of assigning overprinting of any color using a tab with ticks for fills or strokes) to work with documents to be printed in offset. The most annoying bug is when you create documents with spot colors (Pantone colours or other) with shadows that do not overlap the flat color but "pierce" it. Finally, the creation of color palettes is cumbersome and not very intuitive. It would be enough in the color table, once the combination of percentages has been created, to drag the dot with the color into the color table of the document. These are just a few shortcomings but there are many others that make Designer and Publisher unreliable software for professional work or where you work with many Pantone or Spot colors. Affinity Photo, on the other hand, manages to replace Photoshop very well, but Designer and Publisher remain software for amateurs if you don't solve these bugs. Instead of continuing to add new features, I would like you to solve all the bugs first, especially the one that concerns the PDF engine in the most important phase of document export. Hoping for a serious intervention on this matter, best regards.
