OMG I am freaking out. Love the new version of Affinity Designer for iPad but definitely gonna take a bit to adjust. I am one of the few, if not only, contributing artists for Cricut that uses Affinity Designer. I design all of my SVG’s for use with cutting machines using Affinity Designer on iPad and it is my full time job. I literally spend hours everyday using Affinity Designer. This is a game changer. Thank you so much! 🎉
I really appreciate that this was uploaded in 4:3, i.e. the actual aspect ratio of the iPad Pro.

I just now was following this presentation as a tutorial and bumped into a few problems:
1. Why when switching from Photo Persona to Publisher persona after mash wrap filter applied (16:30 approx.), my Place tool doesn’t insert picture into the Picture Frame Rectangle? Instead, picture gets placed on the whole page covering all layers?
2. How do I make the keyboard to appear automatically when tapping on search field? (Publisher 2)
3. Why my Picture Frame Rectangle doesn’t have diagonal lines inside when empty?
PS. All three Affinity apps are version 2.
Great presentation - the incredible work done by this company is somewhat overwhelming.
What I was missing in affinity photo for iPad was copying the settings for one photo and paste that to another plus creating presets. Is that available now?
I've got a new feature suggestion. The option to use voice commands to switch common things like layers while still working, I've never heard of such an option anywhere but it's unique.
I'm a heavy affinity designer user and I'm loving the new app. It feels way faster, the new features are really helpful and it's more intuitive than before!
ONE THING: Please tell me where I can find the new x-ray mode on the ipad version. I literally found/tried out every new feature but the most useful one for me is not there somehow? I searched everywhere

How do I import my assets in asset manager from Affinity V1 to V2
Are there 3D object import options now?
I bought the iPad version through Apple’s App Store and it shows in my purchased apps list there. However when I open the app it asks me to verify with account details and when I do it says not verified. I open my affinity account and it says no purchase and no code. This needs sorting as I have deleted V1 from my iPad.
This is all I've asked for! Definitely upgrading! Any information till when the 40% discount will end?

I'm placing hyperlinks on my master pages then i apply the master pages to a non master page. How can i know if the hyperlinks are working on the non master pages without exporting the entire planner I'm creating? There are no tutorials on hyperlinking

Hello, I installed Affinity Publischer, Photo und Designer 2. The link via StudioLink with Publischer and Designer 2 does not work. The link with Affinity Photo 2 works. StudioLink tells me, "Affinity Designer is not installed." Although it is installed I ask for help. Thank you.

Hi, I just want to say that I like Affinity for Ipad. I was using it as an add on to finish up my seamless repeats by someone who gave me a set of instructions on how to proceed. I didn’t fan out from that. Then I decided a few weeks ago to learn the entire program. I ordered a textbook and was 3 pages in and you rolled out version 2. Well I’m in a pickle because my book doesn’t cover the new version. Will you have a new book out soon so I can learn this program from the ground up? Oh I forgot to say the reason for the physical text book is because Affinity Design does not split on the split screen function so I can use kindle to read or a CZcams tutorial and work at the same time. Or is there a way to get back my old version to use the book to learn. Then get the new version when I’ve gotten the basics down. I’m self taught and at my age I can’t afford school. Thank you!🥰
Hi, the workbooks are still a great starting point as lots of the functionality is in V2. Also V1 and V2 are different programs so you can keep working in V1 even if you've purchased V2. There are also lots of tutorial videos that explain the new tools in playlists on this CZcams channel. Hope this helps 😊

Okay, so I just got the Affinity 2.0 apps. Most things are great, but I'll only list the few, but major issues.
UX:
COMMAND CONTROLLER
- After spending a few seconds of putting this in the perfect spot for me (top left-ish), it resets to the uncomfortable default position every time you close or change documents.
Please allow the users to pin this to their own default position, and include a reset option or toggle just in case.
DELETE BUTTON
Please bring back the permanent delete button position from version one. It's way more user friendly and better for workflow to not have something as major as a delete button hidden behind a 'long press' - kind of a ridiculous decision
EDIT MENU
Please make this menu match the other dark drop-down menus in the app.
This is so frequently used, and it's so strange that you guys made this menu so hard to look at, and read.
The transparency looks out of place, and makes it hard to read the white headings. Additionally all the boxes below are spaced so oddly that it makes it hard to read the text inside. Yes, the font is small, but it's made even more illegible by the spacing - my eyes are fighting to see the text in the boxes because the first thing I see is the the transparent spacing between them.
PLEASE just make the background the uniform dark color as the rest of the drop-down menus. Even at that small text size, it will be infinitely more legible than it's current state.
SUGGESTIONS
USER SHORTCUTS
Please allow the users a customizable shortcut bar to drag and assign their frequently used features - duplicate in my case.
Imagine how long it would take to make duplicate rotation of a line into an asterisk*✳️, let alone something with more steps.

I created a new doc in Affinity Publisher but on my second screen, I only see the page. No user interface? Is there a shortcut key to enable it?
Hi! It could be that the iPad is in presenter mode. Go into your preferences in Publisher and disable Present on External Displays. Hope this helps!

I cannot figure out how to use the warp tool for an object in designer. Please explain the steps again.
With the target layer selected, go to Layer from the top menu and Warp Group - then you can select which type of warp you want. Alternatively, there is a Warp option on the Layer studio at the bottom. Hope this helps!
How do I show rulers and grids in Affinity Publisher 2.0 for the iPad??

I’m confused…if someone bought the entire suite, would they only really use Publisher because of the Studio Link? Does Studio Link give access to ALL tools from the other programs? Is Studio Link available in Photo or Designer?
Studio Link will give you access to Designer and Photo's main personas but if you wanted to use Designer's Pixel persona you'd need to work in Designer itself. Also you can only use studio link if you own Designer and Photo too.
Im finding the lock does not protect the layer, Ive deleted or drawn over locked layers. Hate the bit on layers where you have to go to lock, type name etc when I want to see all layers why not keep like desktop? The other thing is the colour circles shoing fill and line is opposite to the one I use on designer? Bottom left corner where you can use shift command, painting pen work does not work. It is going to be a learning curve, finding Im one leap forward two steps back.

Hi! Select the image that you'd like to warp and open the group options in the layers panel. Below group on the list are all the warp group options including mesh warp. Hope this helps!

@@iamnotx1935 Ah sorry yes that's right. It is only for vector content. Photo has a mesh warp that will warp images.

How do you even import a photo from the Photos app on the iPad? Why is it so complicated to bring a photo in? I can even share from Apple Photos app to Affinity Photo. Why must I already have exported my photo from Apple Photos app to a physical file in Apple File app. Royal pain in the ass. Can’t even get started!

The pen tool makes no sense anymore. Where is the edit mode from version 1?
You can edit your vector curves with the node tool on the tools panel, just as it was done in V1 😊
@@Affinity_Katy Thanks! I’m looking for the edit mode so I don’t have to switch to the node tool. I want to use the pen tool and quickly make an edit and continue using the pen. You can do this in V2 with two finger gestures to move a node and then remove one finger for edits. This is not as intuitive as the edit mode was in V1.

Thank you! You can set up margins and bleed when you create a new document. Also if you look in the drop down menu next to the preview mode button, you can view the margins, bleed and other guides as well as access the grid and guide settings. 😊

Affinity 2.0 is running circles around Adoblow’s lack of innovation. They just buy out the competition for decades.
I love using Affinity but come on…Adobe’s software is going to remain the most complete professional’s tool with lots of innovative functions and tools that Affinity is lacking even with the new and much appreciated update. If I could afford their subscription, I’d switch to that right away.
One of the Biggest Drawback i found in affinity app on ipad is we can't switch between designer and photo with same Document we are working on. which is much handy when working with both pixel and vector layer
@@sausamyself7585 That’s not Affinity’s fault that’s a limitation of iPadOS sandboxing. If you want that functionality, use Publisher which has Designer AND Photo persona. The file formats among apps are all compatible so it’s a no brained.

Affinity does 90% of what 90% of people need, 10x faster and more elegantly, on a modern code base and superior platform…
@@A_Planner_and_a_DreamerAdobe sat on their butts for years on iPadOS releasing garbage after garbage app just throwing the label Photoshop or Illustrator on them… when Affinity came out on iPadOS and WALLOPED all of Adoblows garbage is when Adobe woke up. Now people have to pay subscription to get crappy apps on iPad from Adobe. Both Photoshop and illustrator on iPad are garbage.
The small rather unpleasant subtlety with these new applications is that if you modify an old project via the new applications on iPad and then open it on the old application (still on iPad), no problem. On the other hand, if you modify an old project on the new application and you try to open it via the old desktop software (therefore V1) you get an error ("this project cannot be opened because it has been modified on an older version of Affinity Designer" or something like that). Given the price of the software I find it quite shameful knowing that the modification was insignificant and carried out with a tool already present in the previous version. :-(

You could also use a printer app to wirelessly scan your drawing images to your iPad then run it through capture or just take a pic of the drawing then run it through capture

With regards to the universal license, how does it work specifically for iPad, considering that we have to purchase the app from the app store? I think if you gathered a lot of people to email their actual support staff it could have a greater effect. The team running social media are not the same people designing the software.
