Vector inking and colouring in Affinity Designer for iPad with Monez

- Join professional illustrator Monez as he shares his process for vector inking and colouring in Affinity Designer for iPad.
He will be available on CZcams’s Live Chat for this session’s premiere on Tuesday, 12 May 2020 at 4pm BST to answer any questions.

So basically, I am a person with disabilities, a quadriplegic one because of the accident that happened 10 years ago. I am paralyzed from neck to below my extremities except my hand with limited strength. One thing that sucks is I don’t have a finger function, as in total paralyzed but decided to pursue graphic design with the help of Affinity. I don’t use adobe cc. Then, I decided to buy an iPad with an Apple Pencil. Bought both Affinity designer and photo in my iPad and it’s so frustrating as hell. I started to give up, but then I saw this video, and started doing this awesome tutorial, OMGEEE! It’s so easy to draw using his techniques showed. Thank you so much and Affinity team for these. You guys gave a huge impact to me as an aspiring graphic designer/soon to be illustrator. You guys are the best! 1 thing that I like to have a tool to be added in Affinity designer next update on iOS is the hand tool. Haha that would be a great help to pan my workspace using one point instead of two simultaneously. Love you guys!

@@monezIllustrator did you use apple pencil to draw or a mouse or trackpad? i'm a long time adobe illustrator user, and find it hard to use the pencil for vector drawing. i loved your work and the way you presented your method, good job!

Great techniques! This video only reinforces the need for Affinity to offer a better fill tool option - being able to select all strokes and do a live fill click inside the negative spaces, or be able to add a large fill rectangle behind everything and allow it to divide like Illustrator allows for. It's such a time consuming process to have to basically retrace around each shape you want to add a fill to

This Monez Artwork has been very inspiring, especially as he is an ambassador for his culture and traditions that he honors through his exquisite illustrations and murals. This has been the best software tutorial I have ever seen.That means that if you are a true artist with good judgment, Afinity is the right tool to enjoy any colorfull creative process.

This was amazing, I am BRAND NEW to Designer, and this was exactly what I’ve been looking for. Artwork with a black outline filled with colors. Every thing else I’ve found wants to pretend the outline isn’t there anymore. Hopefully you’ve made more videos like this. I subscribed and liked the video. 😎😎😎

Wow! Downloaded Affinity Designer on my iPad Pro 12.9’’ for about two years now when I wanted to design a logo, but now I see more reasons to use it. Love the the inking and painting style. Will learn more form Monez.

I love you. Please add the blob brush, vector eraser and bucket fill tools like in Inkscape. I think this will speed up the process of painting with the brush. Thank you!
