I Made Some Planters - No Nails, No Screws, Just Woodworking Joints
Spring is here, it's time to build some planters.
I made some raised planters with woodworking techniques that can be used in many other projects. I noticed that the general trend is to shoot 150/200 nails per planter, so I tried to propose something different, I hope you will appreciate.

    i much prefer videos without al the jibberjabber. beautiful design. for me, would have made them a bit bigger and deeper so the plastic rim of the container wasn't showing. maybe slats across the bottom to support the container..

    • @LTMS
      @LTMS Před 13 dny

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. How you would have made them is a different design and in that case the bottom was needed, I wanted to make them so that the edge of the vase rests on the frame. (also I didn't have enough slats to make the bottom). 😅

    • @LTMS
      @LTMS Před 27 dny

      Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. I think with just vco it's fine, the only thing that might change is the density of the final product as coconut oil is solid if it's not very hot and might be a little more difficult to spread on the leather. Where I live, almond oil is easily available in any herbalist or shop that sells skin care products, sometimes you can also find it in the supermarket on the beauty product shelves, try taking a look.

    • @LTMS
      @LTMS Před měsícem

      Yes, bluing fluid helps protect against rust. It's a wood wax, but it has several chemical additives that I don't really like, now I use a beeswax and oils made by me. I polished the head with a lot of patience, wet sanding up to 600 grit and then sanding paste and polishing compound. I will use this hammer mostly for leatherworking and it won't get damaged much. I hope I have clarified all your doubts, thanks for asking.
