- Today I will be restoring an ancient adjustable French wrench that is at least hundred years old.
This type of tool is thought to be of French origin, and was produced from the late 1800s until the Second World War and could therefore have more than a century of history.
I really like the design and engineering of this key and have tried to keep all of the original pieces.
It took a lot of work although it looks like a very simple tool, but I'm extremely happy with the result I got, it was definitely worth it.
I had to be a bit ingenious due to the lack of a lathe and a welding machine, but with a little patience I solved the challenges that this magnificent tool made me face.
I hope you will appreciate the efforts I have made for this restoration.

I'd love to hear what you think, thank you for your time and support for the channel.
Beautiful work! You've turned a rusty old relic into an attractive and functional tool, keep up the good work!
Thanks for your kind thought, I really appreciate it.
Really nice job on a tough old classic tool!
I'm glad you liked it, I had a lot of fun with this historic tool. Thank you for your appreciation.
Gorgeous!!! I really like monkey wrenches which I don´t have any. As well as in the Weltrekord screwdirver final look of the tool is really nice; in perfect condition but still keeping it´s old look. Warm regards from Mexico.
Thank you very much for your kind comment, I'm glad you liked my videos, I really appreciate it.
Yo también agradezco el apoyo.
My friend that's a really cool upgrade. You brought it back to life Congratulations.👏👏👏🙂👍👍👍
Thank you very much, it is very rewarding to be able to fix a tool with so much history
Looks cool, well done. 😊
thanks a lot for your feedback, glad to hear it
Wow that was really great 👍 very clever thinking using the rope to clean the thread, looks like it did the job. I liked how you thought about how to get around all the other obstacles you faced. Turned out fantastic and you can't even see the spot you cut the handle. Well done my friend.
Thank you very much for your kind comment. Actually the challenges were quite a lot, and I had to be creative not having a lot of power tools available, but I'm very happy with the result. I have left out some parts especially on the reconstruction of the handle, but I plan to do a specific tutorial on that in the future
@@LTMS sounds like a good idea. I can't wait to see that one.
Glad you got your new work shop set up enough to do some work in.
@@Austeration You will need to have some patience for the tutorial, I am preparing 2 new woodworking videos (which are related to each other)
@@LTMS nice when will that be ?
@Austeration I have to find a couple of old handles first...😅😊 something worth restoring 👍
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!! Subscribed to your channel as well
Enjoyed your video and so I gave it a Thumbs Up
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, thank you for your kind comment and for the support you gave to the channel, much appreciated
@@LTMS You're welcome and looking forward to your next project
Exceptional results with very limited tools used...
Lack of tools is less of a problem, you just take more time and just have to be more creative.
Thank you very much for your kind comment and for your appreciation.
Spettacolo! Bravo.
@@LTMS in effetti…😅
Nice 💯
Glad you liked it. Thanks
Good video, and good work. But, could you please leave text on screen a litte longer?
Thanks for your kind comment, I really appreciate it.
From now on I will allow more time to read the captions, thanks for letting me know.
.....and btw... Bell and abo done..
Thank you very much, I really appreciate your support for the channel... /bow
कैसे यूझ कीया जाता है वो भी बताये, जो नही बताया,
It's an ancestor of modern wrenches, it's used to unscrew bolts, there's not much to explain.
