  • Building your own tools is always very satisfying even for basic items like these two woodworking squares.
This is the first video of a new playlist called "3 minutes crafts", where I will make projects that are simple and easy for anyone to do.
The stock is made of walnut scraps and the blade is made of aluminum, a metal that I really like for its versatility.
This video is one of the first I filmed when I created the channel, I had not published it because it seemed too trivial, but I think it is worth showing you because even if very simple it can be useful or inspire someone.
Thanks for your time, if you liked the video you can support the channel by subscribing, liking and commenting.

Do you make your own tools sometime?
Let me know, I'm curious about it. Thanks.

Well that was the most exciting video I have watched all day 👍 you did well cutting that slot out by hand, if it was me it would be as crooked as a box of fishing hooks. I'm sure your new series will do great 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thanks mate, I really appreciate your feedback.
With that saw I had to go slowly, at that time I didn't own any japanese saws (now cutting a slot is a piece of cake) 😉

Nice little project. Just an observation, to make the try square you need a try square to mark and check it's square. If that's the case why make another try square? Just kidding. As I said i liked what you made.

Thanks for the appreciation. I made them because I needed smaller squares🙂
The other I have are too big for some projects, lol

It happens every time you build a tool, to do it you always need what you are building😅
