Drama Queen
This the first time I've seen this, which is odd considering how big a fan i was during this period. James was absolutely 100% correct in his assessment of what transpired here. It was shameful what Prost and Belestre had done to Senna and yet Ayrton is often vilified for that accident. Huge respect to James Hunt, he was an incredible driver and everything he said is proven right by simply watching these clips. RIP to some of our racing heroes Ayrton, Roland, Jules and of course, James ❤
I think he raced the top gear track and beat Lewis Hamiltons time .
The record books show otherwise but Senna hands down, won the overall 1989 title however based on Prost’s political leverage, the title was and still is taken away from Senna.
Prost was a manipulator, they called it polemics I think. Lookint that, 100% Prost to blame.
Yeah he was a madman...he loved italy aswell i think he still lives between italy and isle of man
lol
'arsehole'?
Two treasures lost right there.
Greatest F1 commentary duo of all time.
#LewisHamilton at Ferrari going to be real fun.
Jeez…never knew he was such a spaz! Calm the F down.
Ice Man is missed
dude loved cocaine
Good old Nigel , what a LEGEND !!!
3:35
Old me: These were drivers, not the dumb drones we have on today's "F1" For the record, they had to do like around 4K shifts on these manuals transmisions at the Monaco circuit.
Rare footage of that V12 ferrari not broken down..
Goose
Hunt said “the idiot press” Which included the idiot Walker as well (IMO)
Hunt seems sober, but in reality he is not ...
Nice car in 95❤
He looked a little like Freddy Mercury
Different time's, even then.
He deserves a slap. His pit crew do their very best. Arrogant bastard.
Here in France when I am asked how to spell my name they ask "Like Mansell?" "Oui" I say... the first truly great Nigel since Spinal Tap! 🇬🇧
Ahhhhh the old days were pit lane speed limits were nonexistent. and a Halo was on an angel..... Sweet.
Finally a man who has honesty and integrity giving frost and the other gambits what for. Hunt brutally putting Prost in his place
Kimi is Kimi. Never young, never old. Just Kimi.
Cocaine is a helluva drug
And I was thinking of voting on “Miguel” Mansel for Prime Minister…if he is a lunatic like this I’m not sure now 🤠
Tell them how it is James.!
Mansell = GENIUS. It's that simple folks.
nice calming music
I remember seeing this in 1995 on Eurosport and was forever looking for the music. I think the closest is Hans Zimmerman’s score for Rain Man. The final piece - still searching.
First time I've seen this. We're going to see a lot of this track in the next few days. 30 years gone for the two who lost their lives 😢
Rip Aryton 30 years in a couple of days. Time flies.
Hunt originally said of the 89 incident, ''Prost had every right to close the door'
Ned Flanders’s was modelled on nige.
That moustache is bloody offensive
Mr Hunt is all there. '
James Hunt who give his opinion about "who must take the blame" ? Hilarious. Good for him peoples tend to forget and forgive.
Back when it was worth watching.
I miss The old School F1....
still lives in jersey Mansell Motors lol met him once at the cinema where I worked he shaved his tache off and I said hello Mr Mansell any problems let me know heres your seats .... no autograph hunters lukily but hey man was with his family and I didnt say a lot to him as per the job
ALONSO was there also with a Minardi in his debut
That noise though… ❤
Whatever he may have been lacking in other areas, Mansell often made up for in shed loads out on the track. Unless you watched all of the Mexican GPs from the 1980s, you can never fully appreciate just how jaw-dropping it was to watch Mansell's pass on Berger on the outside of the Peraltada in the 1990 race. I don't think any other driver in the history of the sport would have attempted it, never mind pulling it off!
and then to think he did that on knackered tires!
An absolute gent, seen him at a pro am golf tournament, he had time for everybody, very nice man
Where was this interview from...and who was Ayrton talking to?
I believe it was at Carraro Cicli, Ingolstadt, visiting the factory to launch the Senna 770.
