Iconic interview, his thoughts on Donnelly and how he managed to overcome what he had just seen, then go even quicker on his next qualifying run, stands as the most astonishing display of mental fortitude, character and guts in a sporting context I think I’ve ever seen. Those words “I had to go out, go to the racing car, and do it again, but this time do it even better than before” just iconic and inspirational words, one of the reasons he is still so missed. Thanks for posting the whole interview uncut, not seen it for many many years 🥲
He was the best of his era and an all time great, if not the greatest. He'll always be my favourite all time driver. I still remember his qualifying laps, you would see him go blue in the first intermediate (now it’s purple but it used to be blue) and the hairs on the back of my neck would stand up. I'm lucky I got to see him race live in 1992.
A truly amazing person as well as the greatest racing driver in every way - INSANELY fast, IMPOSSIBLY quick. Still hard to believe he was killed in the sport he mastered like no other - it is as if Mohammed Ali were killed in his prime by some freak accident in the boxing ring - like a ring rope snapping and hitting him the head. Just unbelievable. The biggest loss in all of sporting history. What a man!
What a fascinating interview. In hindsight Honda really should have stuck with their glorious V10 but they always have liked to make life difficult for themselves!
Best driver ever👍

What a shame I wasn't still in this world when he was alive but thank you for these interviews. These are fascinating to watch

SENNA 👑
miss you Senna!
30 years..
I miss intelligent thoughtful drivers like this on the grid. Currently they all seem like kids in comparison.
