I think it’s very simple why they’re getting worse because they’ve been dragging it on for a long time with too many sequels and they’re running out of ideas that’s why they’re doing precool also. Plus they decided to sell their companies to bigger corporations like Microsoft and PlayStation who pretty much dictate And choose over passion for these projects. They choose profits over everything else which obviously is going to make things worse. If all you care about is money but you don’t care about making a good game in order to make more money than it’s like anything else in life I don’t care if you’re a liberal Democrat but guess what I’ve also noticed how newer games might be embracing this woke movement stuff if games are gonna start being affected just like TV shows then I’m gonna lose interest because I bet every game coming out is going to have some kind of woken it so it’s like there’s nothing surprising about these new games I can already see what’s coming.

I think the issue is that aside from the name, the book and the movie are completely different stories. Heinlein wrote the book right after the Korean War, when the heroism of WW2 was fading and we had the first of many wars that made people question the US's role, so he wrote what he saw as the perfected military machine. I forget the exact words, but there's a quote about "war isn't random violence, it's controlled violence. You don't nuke every enemy for the same reason you don't cut your kid's hand off for any minor offense. It's knowing just how much force to use." The movie Federation...has no such sense of moderation. It was made by a man who's childhood was directly upended by WW2, famous for his biting satire, and written in a post Vietnam/Gulf War world, who looked at the Federation and thought it has the same problem as every other form of government; human greed. That sense of controlled force is lost if it means a select few can gain more power. Just my rambling thoughts on the matter.

Recently completed Dragon Ball for the first time, and I completely agree with your take. I think this is also why I enjoyed the Super Hero movie so much. It still suffers from some of the usual flaws, but we get to see other characters on screen for a change who get to have some relevance . It's a refreshing difference from the norm of Goku and Vegeta all the time. I also agree with you that my biggest pet peeve in a lot of these shows is the fake-out death of the villain, it got old a long time ago.

The token black character could have been so much more. Have the white guys all shitty, then in a battle or something where they get ambushed, the nearest unit is the 761st Tank Battalion which was historically an all black group. Then at the end the black guy says something smart along the lines of “yeah im fighting for a country that discriminates against me” and one of the white soldiers is like “after all this we are brothers and no one is gonna look down on my brothers” but then thatd be too white knighty

One thing I've noticed, and I'm pretty sure this was not intended. But only one person of color doesn't die or is dismissed from the movie and every woman that is any position of power usually loses it, dies, or is rescued and does not return the rescue. Just to name a few, the black girl that accidentally shoots the guy without a helmet, the female Sky Marshal steps down after the failure of a single mission, Carmen's Captain dying to her own ship. The only person in this category I can think of that life is the Black Whip Guy. I'm only saying this because most of the people that dogmatically defend the movie as being pro military tend to share Rico's racial and gender profile. Just a thing I've noticed.

I feel like every cod game has some good implementation and alot of bad but they never build on the good. I likedthe HQ concept. But dont make it necessary. Have a target practice for players to do speed shooting minigames. Or set up bounties and missions. It seems more interactive than the standard Menu>Multiplayer>Hardcore> TDM. Lets players emote to eachother and just talk I enjoyed the between missions ship in Infinite warfare. Look over mission logs, talk to crew and get a feel for who they are. Build your loadout in game etc

If you watch Dead Space downfall, during the shower scene, you see a female in the same space as a male that was getting killed while she was in the locker hiding, then found her. Meaning that the Dead Space future has co-ed bathrooms, and showers.

I want to make a truly immersive open world game. You get shot or crippled limbs, you have to pay actual hospital fees, wait 3-4 in game months on recovery and rehab, then pass a peych eval. When driving cars like GTA you have to get oil changes, deal with insurance companies and stop for gas every 3-400 miles. All while dealing with inflation, the housing crisis, etc.

Anyone recall the Starship troopers computer game that was awesome? The one i remember yoh controller a squad of marines and would have objectives like blowing up bug holes, capturinf certian bugs etc. your marines would level up the linger they lived. I think late game you got these sort of mech suits.
