mate, just use the 11-34(11 speed) which is design for the 10 speed hub, you need a spacer for the 11speed hub

Interesting conversion. I agree the groupo will be a classic. What’s the maximum tire clearance you can get through those rim brakes?

I wouldn’t change the crank, that’s the most expensive part of the groupset and no improvement over the dura ace one.

Recent bikes are all about BS. They just keep inventing stuff because they need something new every year to sell the hype.

I went from Campag Athena II to mechanical 105 due to parts shortages, and I've got to say I've been pretty disappointed. Very workmanlike and not a joy to use.

My Cannondale SystemSix from 2007 has Ultegra 2007... cables like that. Works fine. Actually, works brilliantly. I'd forgotten how brilliant because I hadn't ridden it for quite a few years. Stops with perfect braking on Mavic Ksyrium Elite rims and 23C tyres. Glad I didn't sell it and nobody wanted such a specialist bike when I was giving bikes away during the first lockdown and after a massive heart attack. Unless I can get the 2018 Roubaix Ultegra just right, that might be the bike to go and the Cannondale could become my favourite bike again

The good : NICE bike colour. Brown seat goes well with the blue. WHITE bar tape super impractical. The bad : the red rims just CLASH - enjoy riding it !!!

105 is great but I believe the upgrade steals the history and essence of the bicycle. Enjoy it as it was.

£300 to save 100 grams, add 1 more gear but make the bike uglier? No one in their right mind will think that a 7000 series 105 rear derailleur (which looks like a photo shop error..) is as sexy as a 7800 Dura Ace! And getting rid of the external cables at the hoods loses that super comfy "thumb rest" 😎

The biggest shame is that they don't make Duraace mechanical anymore, if they did I'd be all over it like a dirty rash. No interest in unnecessary batteries and motors on a bicycle. The finish on the DA stuff, especially the older stuff is a step above. I'd have been tempted to keep the older groupo....one of the best ever made, and the external cables made for the slickest shifting, it got worse after that. Surely the older DA is quite a chunk lighter than new 105?... and no, the extra cogs are never worth it for their own sake... the right ratio spread on 10spd was always fine enough.

Nice upgrade! I’ve been considering Chorus as an option to my well worn SR, I think the 105 was a good choice. I’m a big fan of the brown saddle, very classy and very classic! However, you can’t beat the clean look of a white saddle. Tough call😊

Ritchey makes an aero aluminum bar that is both in stock and more affordable. The comp stream bars are great and $64 online.
