I got a mitchell md200 once for under 100. black. would have kept it, but the thing had back bow only an archer could love. there was no fixing that back bow. so i gave it away. i would be willing to give the MD 200 another chance. I just bought a hd 400 i always wanted in green, and thought I was getting a great deal for under 200 in great condition .. till fedEx pulled some BS and nocked two chips out of the back, and a dent leading to the chip on the lower bottom. I decided to keep the axe. I am sure it will be a great player once i set it up, but it's like this brand and me are not meant to gel.

There were also tube amps branded Checkmate. What do you think about the tone of this guitar? I went to a pawn shop yesterday and played one. The action is super high, probably needs a neck reset, but I liked the tone. Never reset a neck before, it was $59 so I was thinking of using it to try to pop off the neck. I have done a bunch of other repairs including pulling the fretboard off of a 1964 harmony Bobkat and reglued it clamped to a flat table and it worked wonders.

This would make sense if the inflation we are experiencing was real. It is just price gouging, plain and simple. If it were not, then the corporations would not be posting record profits because their manufacturing costs would equal things out.

I have the 50's tribute SG bought new 670eur a decade ago, I was looking for the LP but ended up with the SG. I wasn't a fan of SGs neither p90 but then I realized Santana and pete townsend at woodstock, the doors, black sabbath, zappa and early angus young all used SGs with p90s. Gibson prices nowadays are insane.

After a few years the picture on these CDrs will be blurry and faded. Also these CDrs are not even close to the quality of factory replicated CDs. There's no such option on mac (iTunes) to burn CD-DA out of WAV files, you can burn only out of mp3 which is a terrible idea. The only good thing about this video is that it shows how you should not make your CDs.

I don't know what model of guitar your guitar has, what size capacitor it is. I need to modify the capacitor. Can you give me some advice? i m capa no.aj333???? I need stronger capacitors and good, cheap Simua Duncan pickups.

I have a version of this that doesn't even have branding on it. It was a glorified headphone amp as far as I know because that's all I used it for.

Are these the same labels that someone would use to CD stomp or do you need different labels?

I have a Mitchell LP model; probably my favorite guitar. Feels great, sounds great, and go it at a good price. I have other guitars in the same price range, but imo Mitchell quality is above those.

Did it intonate well?

I have a 339 also....'Frankie' is his name. I never found it 'as' dark as yours. I was waiting for you to adjust the pickup & hieght/screws on the e and b. I put Jescar Jumbo frets and a new nut on mine which totally transformed it. I bought some 'black top' gretsch pickups for another project but thought 🤔 'Frankie you're getting a make over....again!' (I did a sparkle silver top on him a few years ago) So I put automotive wrap on his top and those Black top Low output filtertrons in. It gave Frankie a really different and brighter sound. A lot of pickups make no noticeable difference. And people say they sound different but they can't tell if they can't see what they're hearing. I've got some blind a-b tests And people can't figure them out but this is different. Anyone would hear how much brighter and different frankie sounds. Your 339 sounds totally different too now. I'm just shocked at how dark it sounded originally. -McFly

what size screw driver to raise the pickup height ? My small philips does not sit well in the screw and I dont want to strip it...cause it does not want move with the driver I have ...thanks

I'm doing this same build, but I definitely want to measure scale length to know where the bridge will live...guessing is ok I guess ( haha), but measuring will eliminate intonation issues...thanks for the video.

Just about to string up and set up my partscaster (why I'm here) - but just a note on the lemon oil.... I put mine on and reasonably generously... then let it sit for a good few hours.. then wiped down... repeat, and repeat again, and again, since this is a brand new 'un-fed' neck. I was really impressed that my rosewood fretboard is now very very dark and matches my all black body and fittings much better than before. I looked into dying it but decided against... very pleased I just went with the multiple applications of oil. Total winner for anyone wanting that dark look of an expensive wood. Mine is a Fender Performer neck - very very nice quality... but the colour is now much improved and will protect the fingerboard against drying out. Hope this helps someone. PS. No there is no residue when touching the fingerboard. It sure does smell nice :)

No guitar company should ever partner with GC they kill them all. I had a Laguna guitar which was soooo well engineered and had more modern features than Fender. GC never promoted them. I liked the Mitchell strat but they killed it….by they I mean GC.
