It's cool, isn't it? It sounds great mixed into a track.
Sounds good. Double it with another acoustic when recording will probably sound really good .
There were also tube amps branded Checkmate. What do you think about the tone of this guitar? I went to a pawn shop yesterday and played one. The action is super high, probably needs a neck reset, but I liked the tone. Never reset a neck before, it was $59 so I was thinking of using it to try to pop off the neck. I have done a bunch of other repairs including pulling the fretboard off of a 1964 harmony Bobkat and reglued it clamped to a flat table and it worked wonders.
I think the tone is meh. The action is pretty high, and the intonation is pretty off, but it was my mother in law's guitar and so it's got sentimental value.
