Weirdly enough after completing my Space wolves legion, I am working on my Iron Warriors as well - something about doing a shooty army after an all melee one makes sense I guess. This was a great Batrep. Getting to see what a casual game of 30k looks like. I haven't really touched my Deathsworn but seeing how it was utilized here - I am going to give it a try.

too many videos from FEW complaining about IF and SoH getting minis, get over it. GW made the choice those 2 legions are the poster boys for The Horus Heresy 2.0, that will not change, so seeing video after video with complains and the "It's not really needed" is getting old fast, review the model and move on. Frankly non of these 5 are something I would buy as I have no need for them, but saying the SoH model was worse than the others is BS, is looks cool and different and I would have been excited if I had been a SoH player.

Kinda sad to listen to a grown up complain because of feeling entitled to new toys and not getting what is wanted... I'm not a IF player, so when nothing new and exciting comes out then I just buy something from the wish list, maybe I want a second Dreadnought with the same loadout as one I already got or another pack of jetbikes or assault marines, there is always something I could do. And it's nothing new that GW favors certain chapters in 40k and not really surprising that they have favorite legions in HH, so will not waste time being annoyed over something I already knew when I started collecting HH

As someone who started during the Rogue Trader days I just everything Mk VI, love the mini but I also decided a long time ago that I don't really want to deal think metal or resin anymore so sadly a pass from me.

I love your channel. I always enjoy watching your games but I'd not have any fun seeing that DG list across the table. Especially with no real line of sight blocking terrain. I'd tonne it down for the sake your opponent. Switch the command squad for some death shroud or something. Every unit doesn't need to be the most optimal choice.

funny that gw for the longest time was doing fine with only neckbeards-.- the push for woke wide audience didnt go well for star wars or doc who so far ^^ or halo or star trek or D&D/MTG

Mortarion saves!

Volkite Heavy Support squads are really underrated IMO. Mathhammer wise, though the guns are only Strength 6 and AP 5, they are actually a little better at killing terminators than lascannons are.

Nice battle. In turn one before the inductii charged you forget to roll for the rang of the explosion for the Land Raider.

Great game, gents. It's been a while since I played but would the DG praetor unit's hold your ground test not have failed in the EC turn 1 assault phase due to night fighting?

The Solar Auxillia article was great, I really hope they do this for Mechanicum when they come out for different Forge Worlds etc.

I know it costs a tonne of points, but do not underestimate a squad of inferno pistol, rapid moving troops! Those guys have the potential to make short work of terminators and to one shot anything without an invulnerable save. My AL Headhunter leader has an inferno pistol, because seemingly no gear is off limits to the AL, they will steal any idea from anyone 😅 If Blood Angels were my main, I would be all over these guys simply for the fluff, point vs battlefield efficiency ratio be damned. if I just wanted to win at all cost, I would field an Iron Hands army with Fury of the Ancients

Great battle report guys. My two favourite "second armies" (having minor detachments of each, including their Primarchs). Alpha Legion is still my true love though 💗 Kudos for tweaking the armies to work around the brittleness (sounds nicer than uselessness) of vehicles in 2.0. Also a lesson in 'the game isn't over until the last turn'. After the first turn, I had completely written off the DG's chances of winning, just for the victory points proving me wrong (and proving the importance of focusing on things that matters) making it a lot more interesting in the end!

Thanks for following my suggestion and including a fair share of vehicles in this battle report! It was also a good idea that both forces left their lascannon teams at home otherwise the vehicles wouldn´t have had a chance to shine. Epilogue: Typhon´s remembrancer, Poxus Abyssmalus, filed a complaint in the spirit of the Geneva Convention in regards to his master´s demise due to excessive use of weaponry employed by the Iron Hands´ Vindicators. Sadly because of the Ruinstorm the complaint needed 10K years to reach the vast bureaucratic halls on Terra. Adding insult to injury a malfunctioning servitor erased the complaint upon arrival in it´s databanks instead of storing it in the archives. As soon as this happened all psykers on Terra woke from their sleep and the only thing they remembered from their dreams was a bird-headed monstrosity which shrieked with mischievous laughter.

Time point 11:09 you stated you are going to "run" the grave wardens on the right-hand side of the board. Grave wardens are heavy and cannot run.

At about 2:40 I genuinely thought Jason had modeled the banner with a thunder hammer and bolter. I enjoyed seeing the armor. Makes the army showcases even sexier, and spices up the game.

The two banners aren't limited to different armour marks, the distinction isn't between Mk3 and Mk6. They're meant to represent Legion and Company standards respectively. Hard agree on the swords, we need different melee options, that would have been a major selling point for this box. I'm also convinced that the shields are included because they're options in the squad entry, not because anyone wants them. The sprue can be combined with Assault squads and Jetbikes to give movement options to Command squads, which is a major thing, in my opinion. I'm loving almost everything about the upgrade sprue. I can't wait to get one for myself.

I agree with the above request for an intralegion match, if you can. I'd also enjoy some World Eaters against just about anyone. World Eaters vs. Bearers of the Turd would be fun.

Tbf this command sqaud is equipped with normal power armour and is a lower tier command sqaud

I already got several of the MKIII and MKIV resin command squads (as well as the MKIII and MKIV power weapon sets, including power mauls), so not really any need for those. What I do wish for is terminator command squads upgrades. Even if it's just special helmets and Cataphractii/Tartaros terminator hands holding the banners. If they release such a set, I would be all over them! Edit: regarding match up suggestions, it probably depends a bit on what armies you can get your hands on. There are some rather "classic" interlegion encounters taking place during the great crusade, like the Dark Angel/Space wolf bust up,. Issvan III legion vs. same legion (loyalist vs. traitor) etc.

I may be interested in a command squad depending on the price.

I actually do think there's a place for the Boarding Shield. The one that gives 5++ at the cost of your pistol. Why not use these shields for that?

I know this is old, but one further note for the Atramentar you guys missed. You can have 20 terminators in a squad which as far as I know is the largest terminator unit in the game. Thats a big blob that someone will have to deal with even if they are just tartaros terminators. Pricy? Yes. Big Foot print when they deep strike? Yes. Throw a decent amount of combi weapons on thunder hammer and have chain glaives on the rest to take the initial hits and keep the costs "down." I think you would outnumber even a Mammoth.

Ultramarines elites slot isn’t much more crowded than anyone else’s. Suzerains can be a retinue for an HQ and it’s pretty mean to take more than one unit.

Love this world eaters army. I know I said it before but I have my armies much diff then everyone else as in;: Imperial heralds with just argal tal and the galvorbak in red [I know not exactly lore accurafe) War born aka ultra marines before they met their primarch and also the nemesis chapter And my world eaters are all still war hounds no angeon yet My final army is a all dreadnought army I, working on a iron hands with automata added with tech priests . Since the iron hand had a good relationship with the mechanicum

Amazing looking armies and the board is superb. I like to see a lot of scenery. We tend to do something similar with the only gaps being wide enough for a Land Raider.

I know essentially nothing about mechanicum in 30k. As you note, it is rare to encounter a player in the wild I'm stoked that this set means I'll probably see more at the LGS. Is there something that would stop a person from using 40k mechanicum infantry in 30k? Or maybe stretching this box by bashing the 30k and 40k infantry kits?

I'm a bit torn between Solar Auxilia (being a 2nd ed. 40k Imperial Guard player) or the new Mechanicum... dang it. Maybe just wait and see what is actually available for sale and not out of stock! :D Thanks for going through the new box

Thanks for the vid fellas! Im super excited for plastic Mechanicum! Everything except for the thralls look great!! I really love the extra detail on the Thallax! It's a shame that they did what I knew they would do, and "goofify" the tech thralls. GW just cant help themselves it seems, they must always make at least 1 new kit look significantly worse than the existing design. :C
