I’ve just started Heresy and chosen Ultramarines. Perfect timing
For the 13th and the 500 worlds!
Great vid boys. I would say to your question regarding extra atttack with special boarding shield that it’s intended you get the extra attack. This is because the pistol is actually sculpted on to the shield of the suzrains. So clearly they can use it with the shield. Keep good work up!

That advanced reaction scares me if the UM player has a Sicarin Punisher squadron with 2 tanks.
There are many scary combos I can think of!
Ultramarines elites slot isn’t much more crowded than anyone else’s. Suzerains can be a retinue for an HQ and it’s pretty mean to take more than one unit.

I play Ultramarines and wanted to share some thoughts:
Invictarus Sizerains - I think you still undersold them.
What did you miss?
- They have 4 Attacks with the legatine axe + bolt pistol
- 3 Attacks base with thunder hammers is stupid rare and good
- you can buy them a regular apothecary, which is a lot cheaper than a primus medicae
- they have 7 movement and heavy, which is also very, very good.
No need to buy the standard, since they already have line.
They also synergise really well with a biomancy librarian, since that eliminates the possability of instant deathing them, so the opponent has to go through the full 20 wounds on 10, with a 4++/5++ and the 5+ FNP & allows the axes to wound on 3s.
Also the option on the regular landraider saves you 200 points compared to other elite units.
They are OP as hell. If you play more than one unit, you don't want to have friends.
Some more thoughts:cthe Locutarus Storm Squad
There are only 2 Units in the game with the mobility of a jump pack and artificer for the whole squad. -> its really powerful.
I really like to run them, normally as a unit of 10
They should be supported by an apothecary.
Either I Deepstrike them in the opponents backfield somewhere and clean up heavy support units or I play logos and use the combination of WS5 + Logos (+1) and +1 to hit from blade of wisdom for hitting dreadnoughts on 2s.
The rending 5+ is also better than you said, because it auto wounds.
10 vs a dreadnought are 40 attacks in the charge -> 33,3 hits -> 11,1 wounds -> 7,4 unsaved wounds.
Oh these are are all great points, we definitely were not underselling these! I stand by my view Suzerains in particular are undercosted. Locutarus are nice as well, a full unit with those swords can do some serious work and are durable.
Algorithmancy! I want to build a Salamanders army with infantry and artillery, based around 7 in each infantry unit....
Arquitors and Scorpii to ran hell and the infantry to mop it up.
If you like the number 7, I hear there is a certain chaos power who feels the same way 😜
