  • A God decides it’s time to bring Humanity back into the Stars, and creates giant superhuman soldiers in a basement on Terra that would be known as Space Marines.
    The 20 Legions of these supersoldiers will struggle with their identities, their purpose, their faith, and - ultimately - each other. Each of these legions is unique in ways you wouldn’t believe so welcome to our breakdown of the 20 Legions of the Adeptus Astartes from Warhammer 40,000.

      The night lords were warriors who used terror methods to win overwhelming odds and to comply worlds without entering their space solely on the intel that the night lords were coming. They degraded over time like most legions. The world eaters didn’t try to earn their primarch love they chose to share his pain. They didn’t car for love or the notion of being loved. They knew their father had no aura hence half a primarch and yet they chose to share his pain and be closer to him . Their dna was made to care for others regardless. The alpha legion was the biggest legion in size possibly thousands or hundreds of space marines under terra and and in stasis on other worlds or in other space marine legions chapters . You need to stop being biased or what you think they are like. Like all legions they have a broad scope of honor terror horror and warriors ….get your facts right

Personally I do prefer more obscure 40k theory, but at the same time I would be hesitant to jump into making longer videos on the more esoteric and less accessible aspects of 40k, though getting to those topics when the bases are covered is a good idea. While the war in heaven isnt too obscure, you might for example, want to focus on an introduction to the necron orks and eldar first imo.

      Exactly, to make it even more precise, Leman refused Dorn's request to defend Terra because he felt it wasn't his Wyrd, so he went to Fenris to consult the underworld to find out how he could harm Horus.
      From the start, he was well aware that he couldn't defeat Horus, but he saw that if he wounded him with the Emperor's spear, it would lead to Horus' defeat, which is what happened.
      Leman literally threw himself into the fray to guarantee Horus' defeat.
      In fact, before attacking Horus, he consulted his Legion and asked them if they would prefer to stay on Fenris, if they would prefer to go and defend Terra or if they would prefer to follow him, knowing that the attack on the Sons of Horus could lead to the downfall of the 6th Legion, and they all followed him.

Hell I still say not even Fulgrim loved his father, he was entirely too much of a narcissist. Horus loved daddy E and the twins I have no idea truthfully. Magnus did love his father, and had the Wolf not burned Prospero and took his head, I still say the thousand sons had a good chance at staying loyal. Horus and Magnus I think are the only ones who loved daddy. Someone's gonna try and whiteknight Lorgar but I think it was more absolute adoration and a desire to serve a higher purpose. It took ADB and a terrible plot point to turn Lorgar against his daddy, in love there is a willingness to see the flaws and Lorgar was just too busy wanting to present himself for headpats, truthfully always seemed a bit the way they present Future Trunks in the abridged. "Please love me dad"

    Correction for the first legion, all had bought into the Lion after they had duelled him because he believed that action spoke louder than words. Plus he inherited the Charisma of the Emperor even more so than a normal primarch would. They were one unifying force during the great Crusade up until Luther hesitated to tell the Lion about the atomic bomb snuck on his flagship. The Lion saw Luther as a father Figure now brother and had felt betrayed, so sent him to Caliban as a governor of some sorts to later deal with him. After the Heresy he had tricked the Astartes of Caliban , some not aligned with Chaos, some mixed fired the first shot at the Lion.

    • @CHEESE3194
      @CHEESE3194 Před 3 měsíci +2

      He did not inherit the charisma of the Emperor, in fact he is quite famous for having absolutely no empathy or social skills unlike many of his primarch brothers. This being the reason why the 1st legion is respected but also very mistrusted among the Astartes. That flaw also played a huge role in him not being chosen to be Warmaster and the animosity with the space wolves.

    • @Not-Ken-Molestina
      @Not-Ken-Molestina Před 3 měsíci +2

      By charisma I believe he means the Aura the the emperor has. The one that make you look apon then in awe and service. The emperor and the Lion are the only one that walk in a room and you feel the desire to kneel down before them. Even Horus felt this. Hi is the closest to his father. And yes they both have that autistic personality that comes of as rude and uncaring. But the lion is actually one of the best a reading people especially in combat. Something notable about the White Scars: They were considering going to Horus' side within the Heresy, however what stopped them was Jaghatai's understanding and reason. He saw the corruption that had undergone Horus and his other brothers, and had they been simply dissatisfied with the Emperor and the actions that he took, which would have been immensely reasonable for all of the Traitors aside from Fulgrim (Angron and Mortarion got kidnapped, Horus felt betrayed by the lack of knowledge or involvement in the Webway, Perturabo was stuck fighting the impossible wars, Magnus had been told that he was not allowed to utilize his gift, Konrad was literally driven insane by prophetic visions, Lorgar had his homeworld destroyed, and Alpharius Omegon had a point to prove about subterfuge, but he's the weakest one the group for reason.)
    Jaghatai would have betrayed the Emperor in a heartbeat, he was not a good or honorable man, he was a bastard who just happened to be the maker of Jaghatai and his loyalties did not lie with Big E.

      Idk if you will ever see this, but I have always told people who don't know where to start, to just load up the games workshop website and just browse the various factions mini and see which one kind of stands out to you; and then head over to CZcams and look up a lore video for that faction (I always suggest Weshammer, because he does great lore videos and has quite a good amount of deep dives on factions lore, plus the deep dives tend to be only about an hour to at most 2 I think, so they are not overly long and give you a lot of info.) And then from there just kinda browse whoever's channel you found and you will probably find a lot of more video about random Warhammer things (another reason why I recommend Weshammer because he also has a lot of shorter form stuff and you can just kinda watch on the fly, or shorts if you want even smaller info tidbits). Essentially just kinda grab whatever gets your attention and watch it, develop your knowledge and tastes from there and see how it goes and see how you like it. I hope this helps in any way ^^

    Dark Angels=Luna Wolves
    White Scars=Alpha Legion
    Space Wolves=Thousand Sons
    Imperial Fists=Iron Warriors
    Blood Angels=World Eaters

      @@alphamav3rickgaming430 Youre talking about rivalries. The Death Guard tried to hunt down the White Scars during the Horus Heresy but couldnt because their practically opposite combat doctrines. Same for Night Lords being serial killers that captured Vulkan and Salamanders that save civilians.
      Raven Guard and Night Lords both have primarchs with similar appearances that use lightning claws, both legions have a defect that turns their skin white as paint and eyes black. They both focus on surgical strikes. The Pre-Corvus Corax Raven Guard even were terror troops just like the Night Lords.
      Death Guard and Salamanders both focus on direct assaults, with Death Guard specializing in Destroyer squads and chemical weapons, while Salamanders banned Destroyer squads but heavily favor flame weaponry. Both Legions have 7 Companies and their primarchs are incredibly resilient. Mortarion is weak to Melta and Plasma weapons but resilient against poisoned and fleshbane weapons. Vulkan is weak to poisoned and fleshbane weapons, but resilient against melta and plasma.
      A big difference between the Loyalists and Traitors is the reason why they ultimately rebelled. The Traitors didnt care about non-astartes or the Imperium as a whole.
      Look at the Salamanders who send in squads of incredibly valuable space marines to save civilians and then look at the Death Guard using virus bombs. Raven Guard are special forces while Night Lords skin people.

      @ChaosTicket Před 5 měsíci +2

      @@jw7500 The Iron Hands and Emperor's Children have opposing situations like several others.

      The Iron Hands cut off their emotions while the Emperor's Children embrace them to the extreme.
      Even their Primarchs were practically opposites, with Ferrus Manus as an ugly and slow but strong warhammer wielding brute, while Fulgrim was a beautiful and swift swordmaster.
      As far as I know the Emperor's Children didnt have a distinct form of warfare, and nowhere near the White Scar's hit and run specialty.

      @@ChaosTicket Afaik the EC very much favoured fast, but melee based warfare. Not nescessarily from the saddle of a (jet)bike as the Vth did. But very much a fast assault force. Both Primarchs are very similar in combat style as well, fast and precise swordsmen. The big difference tho, between the two legions and Primarchs is that one is absolutely inundated with narciscism and the other is very much not.
      funfact: in the Heresy game ruleset, there is a EC army configuration that basically gives you the White Scars ruleset.
