    Is there a rules interaction that I’m missing that makes charges using Bestial Savagery count as disordered? I may have some explaining to do..🥴

      Richard here. You are correct. I made an error in the legion review about Disordered charges. Bestial Savagery does not make charges disordered. So my comments about the negation of Rage (2) and Furious Charge (1) for each of the Rites of War's is incorrect. This really just makes the Space Wolves even stronger.
      In the last Space Wolves game we played there were Inductii which have the Headstrong Special Rule which makes them Disordered, whilst giving the unit a further 2" to their charge.
      I think where 'my' confusion came in was in just internally thinking that being able to Move, Run (whist still somewhat shooting...) and then Charge with no penalty was overpowered and seeing the mention of Disordered in the later part of the legion rule, I just made a connection that wasn't there. 😅

    Reaping Blow is a little worse than a chainsword. Shred will get more wounds whereas models need to be in base to base with 2 or more enemy models to get the extra attacks. In practice you may get only one or two extra attacks

    Great video, as always.
    Im going to go to bed tonight giggling and imagining Jason sleeping in his baby blue pajamas, yellow sleeping cap, and wolfskin blanket.

      @@fareastwargaming Sorry, but this debate starts and ends with Howling Griffons. They make Fulgrim say, "Really? A bit garish, don't you think?"

      Let the debate rage on: Howling griffins have their origins in real heraldry, 40k space wolves look like an overdone gender reveal party😂

    Due to +1 to WS for cataphractii units, I find SW one of the best legion for a squad of regular terminators in spartan, acompanied by a few characters

      Yep. It's great when you get the charge off and during the 1st turn of combat, but they revert back and if you haven't killed the opposing WS5 unit, then you are back to struggling. But can see both sides of the argument for sure.

    One thing to call out is that deep strikes are not considered movements, nor is disembarking (as long as you don’t move from the disembark). So if you are facing the SW or another legion with this charge on movement shenanigans, you should be mindful of what is considered an actual movement, and what is deployment

    Aether-rune armor sounds like it would be very good for a regular armor Praetor.

    • @fareastwargaming
      @fareastwargaming  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes, I can see the use. But it's a question of if the points are worth the extra wound? The adamantium will is not worth it. But it makes the standard praetor better than the Tartaros because you get the same extra wound benefit and get to keep the Iron Halo. But in an army where everything is so expensive already, is that really where you want to be spending the extra points?

      Aether rune armour is better on Casters of Runes for adimantium Will 4+. I find its not always the best on other characters because most of the time you are going to be hit with ID weapons

    It is odd that the Wolves are faster than the White Scars

      Some would put it down to them being rabid dogs. But we would never say that 😂
