Thank you guys for covering the box guys, we need more 30k podcasts, fo far you are the only channel that have talk about the mechanicum box
Our pleasure, glad you liked it!
Nice video as always guys - debating taking the Mech as a detachment for Alpha Legion, and just rocking close combat Rewards units
Could work! Or mech thallax and thallax as cheap scoring
I'm a bit torn between Solar Auxilia (being a 2nd ed. 40k Imperial Guard player) or the new Mechanicum... dang it. Maybe just wait and see what is actually available for sale and not out of stock! :D
Thanks for going through the new box
I think you've hit the nail on the head there. It's 'what is available' that will be key.
I know essentially nothing about mechanicum in 30k. As you note, it is rare to encounter a player in the wild I'm stoked that this set means I'll probably see more at the LGS.
Is there something that would stop a person from using 40k mechanicum infantry in 30k? Or maybe stretching this box by bashing the 30k and 40k infantry kits?
Only strict fluff gate keeping would stop it. As we say âjust show effortâ and you are good!
Thanks for the vid fellas!
Im super excited for plastic Mechanicum! Everything except for the thralls look great!! I really love the extra detail on the Thallax!
It's a shame that they did what I knew they would do, and "goofify" the tech thralls. GW just cant help themselves it seems, they must always make at least 1 new kit look significantly worse than the existing design. :C
The thralls are the one that got the biggest make over, but i also think that with correct paint scheme you can negate some of their shortcomings. Honestly, the fact that they are in plastic is the biggest boon to mechanicum players
@@fareastwargaming I think you're probably correct. It's just a shame. I would have bought at least 30 of the thralls had they been in the previous style. Now I'm going to have to pass on them entirely.
