Two young men seeing the world together👨🏼🤝👨🏻🌍
--
I'm Oskar🧔🏻 and I'm Dan👱🏻♂️
Oskar was born and raised in Sweden🇸🇪 Dan was born in London to a Swedish mom and an American dad🇬🇧 He moved to Sweden at 9 y/o👦🏼
At 16, Oskar moved to the United States for a year as an exchange student👨🏻🎓
When returning to Sweden, Oskar joined Dan’s class in school📚
In April 2015, when we were 17, we took our first trip together to Rome. Since then, we’ve had a hard time standing still🏃🏻♂️🏃🏼♂️
After high school, we took a gap year and traveled to 18 new countries🗺
We spent two years at an international university, which allowed us to live in San Fransisco🇺🇸, Seoul🇰🇷, and Hyderabad🇮🇳
After that, we decided to make travel a full-time thing, and since 2019, we’ve been on the road almost constantly🧳
We visited our 100th country in December 2022, and now we continue sharing our travels, hopefully making the world a little more open and compassionate along the way❤️
See you around the world👋🏼

I Took A Solo Trip Through Japan (first time)
It's time to share Oskar's solo adventure in Japan❤️🇯🇵 - This is part 1 of 2.
Dan had a big trip with his childhood friends around Thailand and Vietnam planned, so Oskar had 12 days to plan something to do alone. This is what followed...
We’re Oskar🧔🏻 and Dan👱🏻♂️, and we believe that anyone regardless of who they are deserves to live their dreams! For the past nine years, we’ve continued pushing boundaries by traveling and living all across the world, including places like Uganda, Brunei, and Saudi Arabia. In 2022, we reached a huge milestone by visiting 100 countries and we’re now on a mission to keep sharing our journey and hopefully make the world a little more open, compassionate, and peaceful along the way❤️
Thank you for being a part of the journey!

Japan was country 38🌍 (first visited in 2018)
I started out my trip in Narita city, the namesake of Narita airport but with so much more to offer than that. I then drove through Tokyo to the west, making my way to the Mount Fuji area and the towns of Yamanakako and Fujiyoshida.
Thank you for watching!🙏😍

It's beautiful to hear the other side of this. I am alone most of my days. When I started solo traveling at the age of 19 it gave me such a confidence boost because I was able to take care of things all on my own and I could make decisions for myself without having to answer to anyone. I'm glad you guys have each other to depend on during your travels and I'm also glad I found your channel, you two are wonderful souls
Well done Oskar! We loved the amazing scenery, and the way you put a bit of humour in too!
I visited Switzerland many time. it supposed to be super expensive
never liked your other one,he is rude and boring, dump him and be someone who actually care about you
Fantastic video! Eva zu Beck vibes 😀
Nice vlog Oskar! Can't wait for the second part 😊
Oskar it was great seeing your solo travel experience. And you sharing your thoughts & shifting of perspective on solo travel. I traveled quite a lot for business so I was inadvertently pushed into solo travel. Initially it was a stretch for me, but ended up being a great way to grow in experience and being more self sufficient. Your video was fresh and I laughed out loud multiple times - definitely appreciate your honesty and unfiltered responses & looking forward to seeing your next solo experience!
Dont wamt touristy dint be a tourist.
Love to marry a woman from this country 😅
You guys should visit Belgrade
This was sooo cute! So glad you are adventuring and had the opportunity of appreciating solo travelling. I mainly solo travel and I love the freedom that comes with it. I also say goodbye to rooms and places I visit.. that was so relatable! lol You guys are the best!
حسن عواد والله ونعم 😂
What a turn around of emotions this solo one with you brought Dan ‼️ I was 💔 to hear you tell of loosing your confidence/enjoyment in being/travelling alone, to such joy to see the light bulb moment when you found again that being alone can bring you happiness and fill your soul too🥰‼️Cannot wait to see the last part of this Japan journey you're taking. I hope this newly rediscovered ability has planted a seed that continues to grow the joy in you it managed to do in these 27minutes ☺️☺️
Oskar, Thank you! Wow! One of my absolute favorite travel videos. Felt I was getting to know you so much better and the places at the same time. I've started to travel alone because my husband no longer wants to travel. Go figure. Question: To what extent does doing the video structure your trip and affect or change the experience of travelling solo? You are by yourself physically, but are your heart and mind outside yourself imagining the point of view of your audience, our questions, our needs? Does filming detract from your experience? Organize it? Add meaning? Save you from feeling lonely?
the shame is on you by running in a temple. Show some respect. Also, respect the other people who you just run through
Aged well 😂
LOVED THIS ONE! 🫶🏽
I know this is not the point of the videos but it would be cool if you randomly taught us Swedish words here and there :)
I have stayed in Mlango kubwa, Roysambu, Kayole, Mukuru kwa Reuben and Njenga now in Bahrain I will be back soon I like Nairobi.
Hi Oskar - you certainly rose to the challenge of doing a big trip on your own. You have your own voice so don't be afraid to use it. You can both have your own space to do different things as well as your joint adventures. Your followers will back you both all the way in whatever you do. Keep strong!
I have seen the game before so I am not going to get on that
I’m so here for solo Oskar
Wow! Thank you for sharing not only the beautiful tour of Japan, but also the vulnerable trip of your being. You are a very special person and my life is richer for calling you a friend, even though we have never met.
I'm doing 2 weeks in Japan next month and honestly CAN"T WAIT😂Its been a trip which has been VERY high on my bucket list. I will be part of a travel group but going by myself and not with any family/friends from home😄
Freaking giants goes to dwarven airport then complains about small hotel room .. Bunch of clowns ~ 🤡🤡
I thought you went to Japan alone. Who is filming? I'M TELLING DAN!!!! 😂😂❤
Thanks for sharing Oskar. It’s great to get out of our comfort zone and being uncomfortable sometimes. It’s great to see how you came to enjoy your own self
My friend went to China 🇨🇳 💀
There’s a Disneyland in China 🇨🇳 💀, That’s the worst location for a Disney Park because China is a really bad country 💀
Maldives
Hi, I've been subscribed to Dan for years. I mean no disrespect, but are you a gay couple? I've just been curious with foreign countries, if you guys are a gay couple do u act straight as some countries don't allow it. I'm from Australia 🇦🇺 and Western country but I've wondered about other countries. My friend is a lesbian with short hair and in india they called her sir
This was just lovely. Not only is it a always a treat to see your handsome self smiling somewhere you love but I also think this is the polar opposite of a cliché Japan video, which you can comfortably do now because you've done all the must see and must do stuff before. So interesting to hear your thoughts on trying something so different for you, but at the same time so cute still to witness the connection you can't help but have with your man all those miles apart. You really come across as a rare genuine person. Can't wait for the rest of the video and wish you two the best. ❤️
It's true. Fushimi Inari Taisha is only jammed-packed until the first stop, but after that there's barely any people around, it can get kinda creepy if you hike up alone (but no less beautiful!)
Its healthy to spend time by yourself!
Oh I just love how we’re getting twice as much content cause of your solo trip ❤🎉 What a guy 😻 So humble and respectful and sweet 🤗 So glad I found Dan ages ago and got you too!! Twice as lucky 🍀 Love you 🫶🏻 Looking forward to more ❤
80% sure these 2 are gay not sure
Feel like watching a Ghibli film. Through a jouney to a new world outside of your comfort zone, the Ghibli-like finding yourself in a new stage? new world made me felt I was watching Ghibli movie. The Japanese landscapes might have reminded me even more of Ghibli. BTW, I am Japanese. Thank you for choosing Japan for your Solo Trip.👍
This made me teary. It's so beautiful
This video is great cause it’s the exact opposite perspective that I have. I almost exclusively travel solo, I love it, but the rare chance that a friend or family member joins me makes it even more special.
I need more of this! Love the slow meditative travel. Good for you Oskar!
Good for you Oskar, solo travelling can be lonely. However, it is always the best experience for self-growth. I get to travel for my job globally and whenever I'm in an interesting place I'll extend my stay and travel solo for a few days.
You are a very skilled film maker, this is really high quality product. Very different vibe from most of your uploads. I feel like we got to know you better in this one. Congrats.
Such a great video! Love couples who give each other room to be alone when they need it!❤
YAAAAY, SOLO OSKAR AT LAST! 🥳🥳🥳 Lovely video. I went to Japan alone in October last year too, and it was amazing. Can't wait to be back.
Even though I love your content with Dan, this solo journey is more insightful and we actually got to meet you as an individual person. Welcome to solo travel Oskar!!!! Hope you do more solo content!!!
I love both you guys, but this was special! I hope you get to visit Okinawa!
I'm glad that you are enjoying your solitude!! Solitude is sometimes taken for granted i think. Looking forward to your next adventure in Japan!!
A beautifully filmed travelogue of Mt. Fuji and all those villages! By any chance did you bump into the Jumping Places couple Chris and Carolina who ALSO visited that gorgeous pagoda on the lake with that spectacular view of Fuji San quite recently? Regardless, it was a specular experience for you to have had and it's great you were able to share your impressions of it with Dan and the rest of us!
Love your solo video, Oskar! Can‘t wait for part two and your answer to the question: “would you do it again?” … though we think we know the answer already
Congrats for putting yourself in this situation and persevering! I’m 65 and have been travelling solo for more than 12 years and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! As others here have commented, doing it solo is totally freeing and you learn so much about yourself and how your moods ebb and flow, which I find interesting. I love challenging myself in different ways on each trip and the research and planning of each trip totally solo is half the fun too! I am in the throws of planning my next overseas trip which will be for 4 months, so very excited. hope you continue to explore this sort of travel and that your appreciation of solo time continues to grow. Happy travels! Cheers from Australia
