Today we begin our trip around the East African country of Kenya in the capital Nairobi! We meet up with two local friends we made in university and explore the city, going to see giraffes, climbing to a viewpoint on a helipad, taking a matatu, and more. Come along for the ride🇰🇪
We’re Oskar🧔🏻 and Dan👱🏻♂️, and we believe that anyone regardless of who they are deserves to live their dreams! For the past nine years, we’ve continued pushing boundaries by traveling and living all across the world, including places like Uganda, Brunei, and Saudi Arabia. In 2022, we reached a huge milestone by visiting 100 countries and we’re now on a mission to keep sharing our journey and hopefully make the world a little more open, compassionate, and peaceful along the way❤️
Thank you for being a part of the journey!

So nice to be traveling with you to such a beautiful country....
Great video! 0:24 Uganda is the Pearl of Africa❤
So good to see you Boys in the country I literally grew up in,beautiful, beautiful Kenya. We had a house in the mountains in Molo & a house on the beach in Mombasa, in Nairobi we stayed with friends. The last time I was there was during the filming of "Sense8" which though biased is one of the best series ever made. I've mentioned helicopters in many of my posts & it was in Kenya that love of them was born,it was also a fabulous way to get from A to B & a stunning way to see animals, though obviously we went camping many, many times. My parents had friends all over the country, including the amazing American Artist/photographer Peter Beard. My father was working in Yeman at the time,so we were constantly moving between Yemen,Kenya & once a year would fly back to England. Having been there for filming in Nairobi was a blast & now you've been on one of the many buses,it will give the most extreme version of your experience. Obviously can't wait to see part two. As always very best wishes to you&yours💥👊👏👏👏❤️💯💙💙👌🙏⭐️'s💯👋✌️
Welcome back home 🇰🇪🤝
@@lifehacks1019 Thank you, very sweet of you to say. I'm in London at the moment, then off to Madrid to pick up my godson & his mother; then we're all off to spend Xmas near Lake Naivasha & New Year on the beach. A very early Happy Holidays & very best wishes to you&yours.🙏👋⭐️✌️
@@TheWhore2culture Nice of you to have maintained strong and warm links with magical Kenya 🇰🇪👌
I'm pretty sure you influenced the Nairobi pick as a shooting location for Sense8...😀 which must have been very memorable for the crew..(Were you one of the production crew or the starring cast?). I've not watched Sense8 yet but it's now on my must watch list thanks to the timeless netflix.
Speaking of you living in Nakuru (Molo) and vacationing in Mombasa and now visiting Naivasha, it strikes a nostalgic code too.
Born and bred in Kenya, I schooled in both Naivasha and Nakuru and so I can very well relate with your warm sentiments about those places and Kenya as a whole.
Wishing you a tantalizing Kenyan holiday! Safiri Salama- Safe Journey.Karibu Nyumbani-Welcome Home and enjoy your safari! 🤝
@@lifehacks1019 Thank you for your sweet message. Am sorry not to reply sooner & yes I'm aware of name changes, but,the old names reflect good old memories. You have to watch Sense8,I think it's on of the most amazing works of storytelling ever & it will take a lot to beat it. I was lucky to get a job with production, which ment quite a bit of travel & fun with cast & crew. I can't wait to collect my godson & get to Kenya for the holidays. Wishing you&yours a wonderful time & a very happy New Year.

Guys come To Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, you will be amazed here too.
Nairobi is so beautifull, much love from Ethiopia
Amazing video ❤
Hello guyz. I love it that u for frinds all over the world. Pretty cool. Enjoy 😂😂😂 African people are nice . O had many friends from Sudan,Ethiopia.
To get the true matatu experience, try the pimped out ones going mostly to the lower income neighbourhoods and suburbs like Eastleigh and Rongai.
Kenya is such a beautiful country with unique culture and little bit mix of everything so diverse Kenya are very friendly they to engage always like to help they are warmhearted open minded very hospitality thank you both for visiting Kenya 🇰🇪 hakuna matata ❤❤😊😊
Finally,,, Yaaay. Glad you finally visited home🇰🇪..That Carrefour Market is barely a month old since it was opened. For the best Matatu experience you need a crazy ride to the Eastlands 😂😂 Enjoy and have a good stay.🎉
Oskar's new hat is PERFECT!
Perfectly silly?🤣

Much Love from 🇰🇪 Kenya my country.❤❤❤ I wish i met you guys in person, coz i frequent some of those places you vlogged.
Welcome to magical kenya 🇰🇪 ❤️🦋
Carrefour took over most of Nakumatt, the previous best Supermarket in Kenya, when they went under a couple years back. Not much has changed, only the rewards program is gone. I got a lot of free domestic flights in Kenya through that, it was amazing.
From Nanyuki Kenya,Thanks for visiting my Country Kenya...
Welcome to Kenya.. a blessed land of prosperity

Awesome video once again! Just curious, but what type of pants are you guys wearing in the first parts of the video? They look so comfy!
They're from a Swedish store called Stadium! Not sure if they ship internationally🙏🏼
Welcome kenya❤
New subscriber . You are welcome in Kenya my second home❤
If you want a Matatu experience, get a matatu to Eastlands.
You both are so cute together! ❤
Yay. Kenya's cool. Go to the biatch no I mean the beach.
Cool Vlog ! Will you have giraffes in your animal refuge? Great views from the helipad! Did you get sick from the water ?
Ps Flög du ekonomiklass den här gången?

You guys are such positive vibe. I tried that mysterious flavoured fanta and I din't like it either lOL
It's the weirdest flavor😂
I will be landing there in Nairobi on Tuesday night local time.
Karibu Kenya 💯
amazing
I hope you guys visited Karen Blixen’s home/ museum. Her story was told via a movie called Out of Africa. Kenya is a wonderful country. I’m guessing you guys are off to Masai Mara. Enjoy the safari experience. Hope you guys took the hot air balloon over Masai Mara. It was an amazing experience for me.
yall definitely didn’t get the full matatu experience .😭
What was that!? 😢😂 so pointless. That guy did them dirty. Lol.

Glad you enjoyed ❤
Awwwww thank you Oscar and Dan for visiting my country 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪thank you i always waited for this video and God did it.thank you for showing the world my beautiful country
what camera are you using
I have stayed in Mlango kubwa, Roysambu, Kayole, Mukuru kwa Reuben and Njenga now in Bahrain I will be back soon I like Nairobi.
The local should have got you into one of the famed matatus, the ones with music and graffiti. We call them nganyas. Awesome experience.
Beautiful place and people!
You are welcome all. A country open to everyone and every nationality visitor.
Respect the people and culture, as any visitor, anywhere else.
Exceptional vibes, top destination.
I Have Ever Gone To Sarit Centre!
welcome to Kenya 🇰🇪❤️
That Phelan guy embarrased our matatu culture experience. How can you take a mzungu hapo khoja to experience matatu culture? to make matters worse you board them into a 14 seater matatu. Come on Phelan, Nganya za rongai ndizo walikua wanataka kuexperience, they were even asking if its going to play music.
I was born in Nairobi and have never gone to places like USA I have stayed in Kenya my whole life
Welcome back to kenya home of awesomeness
"It's like sewage water treated with American molten candy!" 🤣😂

Dan , now that you are in Kenya don't you think its time to give Kenya Airways a try?
We flew them when leaving Kenya!
If you love suchi theres a hotel called kempinsky has one of a kind suchi hotel with a capacity of maximum 10 people its the only one in africa
Mawimbi is better place for suchi
Hi Dan & Oskar, absolutely loved this video and both of you guys. Btw, can I ask how safe it is to visit Kenya or Tanzania as a gay couple? My boyfriend and I have been wanting to visit there for safari tours. But we're a little bit concerned about safety issues or acceptance for gay couples there, and going about with our lives such as requesting for king beds in the hotel and going to restaurants looking maybe like we're on a date, and etc..
Kenya less judgy than Tanzania.
Thank you Robin🙏🏼 Kenya is definitely better than Tanzania, but if all you're doing is a safari and staying in the Maasai Mara/Serengeti area, you have nothing to worry about as long as you're staying in mid range to upper level hotels. Enjoy!
I actually visited Kenya as a lesbian and it wasn't so bad nobody really minded my stance.its a very beautiful country so you should definitely visit
tarus wewe ni lele kweli🤣
Looks like fun!! How is Nairobi Kenya?
I live in Nairobi and it has the best weather in the world!...neither too hot nor too cold but a mixture of both temperate and tropical climate. Nice and friendly people. Lots of entertainment and fun things to do. Healthy and organic food. Traffic can be a bother though. Nairobi is well connected to all global cities, sample this; Breakfast in Nairobi, lunch in Dubai. Breakfast in Nairobi, dinner in London or NY or Amsterdam or Paris or Hong Kong etc. I ❤ NBO
Awesome
Most African countries do not have the reputation of being LGBT friendly. How was it traveling as a gay couple in Kenya?
Nobody cares 😊
@@dennoh2532it’s actually super important to know as to not end up in jail or worse.
In Kenya nobody cares unless you become a public nuisance with your floricking!! Just respect the local cultural norms by being decent in public, that's all.
@@lifehacks1019exactly i hope they stop being rebellious in the west too and respect it here too
Just respect the locals and nobody will bother you. Just don’t display public affection in public , even if you do, the worst that can happen is probably looks of disapproval.
That pupple soda is new to the kenyan market , we can't defend it, i suggest you go with the good old fanta orange so that you dont go with the notion that our soda tastes terrible , N for the matatu experience , please find a good , loud matatu with free wifi n lots of tv screens , that thing you boarded doent represent us
Coca-Cola has been doing these mystery flavours in the UK for years and honestly nobody likes any of them they come up with!
Finally!! I won't lie I was offended that Kenya 🇰🇪 did not make it to 100 countries.
It is 77 i think I the world
Nvm it's only 77 in skyrax
For all the guys who paused at the menu part kuona vente walami wanagongwa
Welcome to Kenya the home of humanity 😊
the home of colonial mindsets😒
Hey my friend..please come in our India,.I will show u my incredible India ..you two my favorite ..please it's a request please come in India.....and I want to meet u
nice
itsgrape flavoured
That "Kenyan" friend is clueless about matatus wow.
I felt like shouting DONT drink that fanta🤮
On behalf of all Kenyans I'd like to apologise and say your tour guide did NOT understand the assignment when you asked for a "matatu experience" 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️ I'm gobsmacked. Are you sure he's Kenyan? 😅
💖🫶🏾
If you are still in Kenya, you have to get into the pimped-out matatus.
That guy is not a real Kenyan, that matatu thing was the worst experience. He should have taken you to real moving discos
Hi! I went to Kenya in April/May this year and experienced things a little bit differently. I booked a tour with a vegan. Yes, vegan, safari company, and they made sure that everywhere we went we had vegan meals. They treated the animals very respectfully when observing: They would turn off the Van so that the sound of the Van wouldn't disturb the animals, whereas other tour companies would throw things or make noise to make the animals move so that their guests could take pictures, which is not very nice.
I would not recommend to any of your viewers to fly with Kenya airways. The flight attendants were lovely, but the actual plane itself and the customer service line are abysmal. My food, the first mea, included really dry rice and moldy grapes. The second meal was almost exactly the same, except the grapes were not moldy and the rice wasn't as dry. My flight on the way over there: I was coming from Toronto. There was duct tape all over the wing, and the plane shook in a way that I had never experienced before in my life. It was frightening. It looked like and felt like the plane was going to fall apart.
We went to the giraffe centre too, but we didn't attend the educational session.
I really encourage you to check out the vegan safari company, Pathway Safaris. We started out in Nairobi, but their home office is in the beach town of Malindi.
And do not drink the palm wine, lol!
Omg a VEGAN safari company?😱 Wish we'd known!!!
@@OskarandDan well now you know for next time! They became like family, I actually cried when Andrew, the owner, was dropping me off at the airport to go home.
@@Dafquez, that's not duct tape on the wing. It's called speed tape and is used all over the world. It's approved and designed for use in certain "minor, non-structural" repairs (eg, peeling paint/'weathering').
You can look it up.
Why use such a matatu....
You have failed us.
Ganya baba!
You did not take a good matatu
That matatu guide should be stripped his Nairobian credentials completely. He is a matatu virgin..
You guys DIDN'T enjoy the matwana culture I expected.... You obviously took the wrong route 💔
Ironny when watching you review what a Fanta? then then Booom!!! their Ad pops up.....sorry Fanta am not gonna buy
HAHA omg really?!
That was not the best matatu experience. He would have done better
Why did he take you to old matatus this guy is a joke😂
So embarrassing 🤦🏿♀️😂
All the best guys. Your sexual orientation, when it matters, Kenya is friendly but just keep it to yourself. A piece of advice.... Avoid some of our neighbours. All the best
The stereo type is more like all Black People look the same and not all White People look the same. I really don't think Black People think all White People look the same. And if that statements is true, then this is my first time hearing that as a Black Man who's lived all across the western hemisphere, including here in Nigeria 😂
Cristiano Ronaldo? 😂 Ego-stroke for sure.
That was a deplorable matatu experience. Even worse recommended by a Kenyan. Get a pimped matatu to Rongai.
That wasn't the real matatu experience...those are just buses...manz failed you there
No one actually likes that new flavour of Fanta I rated it a 2 as well
You took the most boring matatu ever
I heard that the Kenyans do not approve of gay men. Is that true?
Kenya now has fruitcakes
Worst matatu experience ever , and sadly brought to you by a "kenyan"
