I think it’s important to remember that by the end of the genocide route Chara is complicit in things, and in the pacifist ending when talking to Frisk in the Ruins Asriel says “maybe Chara wasn’t a great friend”, but overall I do feel as though Chara isn’t any worse than like half the characters in this game and thus we should be able to make friends with

Man this feels so wrong on so many levels. I know its 8 years old but its just another dimension for me. The narration: in genocide if you want to fight undyne and there are any monsters left she will remind you of it. Even in the save she says how many monsters left. Jn the new home if you read it sarcasticly it will acualy sound mean. The story: Acually toriel made something with those flowers and thats why in a call she asks you if you have any alergies. They didnt had any plan. Chara just wanted to see golden flowers in her village. But when they were there they wanted to attack humans but asriel refused. and if you watch some theories about chara manipulating asriel, it makes so much sense. The end: first things first its probably gaster that asks you to recover this game. Think about it. In the true pacifist she wanta you to see the consequences. So if you think about it it would be pointless and your choices wouldnt matter if you killed them or chara did. Other things: When you talk wiht asriel after the fight he says that chara wasnt the greatest person. Its the only time when he oppses with chara. And once again i know its 8 years old and the creator had 17 years but im not 16 yet and i know it.

My headcanon is that in flawed pacifist, if you choose to live with toriel, chara takes control and eats the pie like Kris did and if you chose I have places to go, the crossed faces mean that chara defeated everyone either in a game or a friendly spar

i realise how long ago you made this video but something i want to point out that i haven’t seen anyone really talk about is toby’s choice of words in chara’s genocide dialogue. “our plan had failed” if toby wanted us to believe that chara was this evil person who wanted to destroy all of humanity and saw the monsters as a mean to that end, why wouldn’t they have said “my plan”? i mean, even “my plan” would have been more vague about their intentions regarding it. it was their plan at first anyway. but “our plan”? it suggests they viewed asriel as an equal party in the plan and while that doesn’t justify what they did, they obviously didn’t really understand the boundaries they were treading at the time. i mean, they’re literally a child, and one with some serious problems too

I have this pseudo theory/ personal headcanon that Chara is mean to represent or mirror to a certain degree the player, like not Frisk, but you, the player. After all, why write that name next to the save file? it's also the name you see when checking stats and the one that appears next to your options in fights. I know Toby is a bit of a troll and likes to misguide people, but there's generaly a certain sense in his madness, an order in his disorder rather than just plain randomness lol. Still I know it's pretty weak to be considered a theory, hence me calling it headcanon, but that's my personal interpretation. Like iirc in genocide she explicitly states that she was 'created' by you or that she is a part of you (I believe she claims she was born out of your drive for exp, gold, etc but I'm not sure) Anyway end of my ted talk but yeah, I strongly believe chara and the player are heavily link although I'm still unsure of exactly how.
