hullo!✨✨ I made this video in celebration of the 1 year anniversary of Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which remains the most amazingly written fantasy I've ever watched & has been a hugely influential inspiration on my art! I actually wanted to make this last year when it came out, & I'm really glad I had the chance to. consider this a beaming 'thank you' to all the incredible writers, artists, designers puppeteers, voice actors & more who poured their hearts & souls into creating a vision, that both honoured the legacy of the original movie, & added its own new flavour, charm & magic to it.🌟

this is absolutely gorgeous; it's a crime that netflix cut off any chance of a second season :( and only hours after they won an emmy!
Perfect reflection of the themes of truth in the series.
-The Gelfling learn the truth and must act on it.
-Mother Augrah must rediscover the truth.
-The Skeksis are blind to the truth due to their impulses.
-The Emperor knows the truth but his fears makes him refuse to act on them.
- And the Heritict/Wander as well as the Hunter/Archer know that unless they unite they are doomed.

HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS EARLIER??? This is - wow, I do not have the right words to describe it, but the whole thing is so stylized and gorgeous!!! This is probably the _best_ Dark Crystal animatic I've ever watched.
If Netflix doesn't greenlight season 2 right now I'm going to rob a bank and use the money to make netflix 2 and do it myself

Not to be dramatic but I think I'm going to die. This is amazing. I barely have words. Your art manages to capture and heighten the whimsy and fantasy, while being incredibly expressive and immersive. I love how the triumph turns to manic desperation at 2:26. I adore how strong the shapes are. Amazing job.

This artstyle is perfect for an animated version of the series, it translates the designs so well! It reminds me of the "Wolf Walkers" movie, and seeing all the colors and lighting like this is amazing.

okay now that i can Actually Word things... this is, so incredibly special and beautiful... it conveys the specific, spellbinding charm of the show so wonderfully, and simultaneously invents its own entire atmosphere... your designs are so wonderful, fun and engaging, giving the characters so much personality! the overall style is breathtakingly beautiful and rocks me to my core... the backgrounds are drop dead Gorgeous, and all the elements work in such wonderful harmony with each other! the editing is incredible, the movement within the frames, the smoothes timing... lighting, the!! pulsating lightning in the essence-devouring frame!! incredible... overall your vision of this is so perfect, the contrast through repetition, how different scenes parallel and opose each other, the motif of unity in the lyrics and the many different shades it takes on in the video... this is truly amazing and so, so deeply beautiful
