What is being stolen is what enables you to live and is part of your livelihood (“a means of securing the necessities of life”). If this was 1743 and young bandits stole the food from her cellar, no one would fault her for killing them. I have a CZP 10 C pistol. The grips have some rough edges to it that are irritating. But what I did is I took a steel file and I filed down the sharp points all around that grip so now it feels perfect. They were two pointy and irritated the palms of my hand when I held the pistol. But a file solved the problem Just taking the sharp points off. You mentioned the irritation from the M&P pistol and I think you could do the same thing with a file.
