Armed Woman Shoots 13-Year-Old Girl Stealing Her Car

- An armed woman fired her gun at a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy when they tried to take her SUV, according to Chicago Police.
The 13-year-old girl ended up being shot on the right side of her body during the robbery attempt, police said.
The 13-year-old girl was taken to a hospital and is now in stable condition. Both teenagers were charged with attempted theft.
When I started carrying a gun for protection, it never really occurred to me that I might have to use that gun against a young teen.
I'm not saying an adult's life is any less valuable, but the thought of shooting a young teen in self-defense is just harder for me to swallow than shooting an adult in self-defense.
But don't get it twisted; I'm not saying I won't defend myself against a young teen if they're threatening death or serious bodily harm.
Let me know what you think in the comment section.

Circumstantial evidence may be used to try to prove a person’s state of mind to determine whether they were truly in fear of great bodily harm or death. An experienced Illinois criminal defense attorney knows how to cast doubt on the prosecutor’s case and show that you were, in fact, justified in using self-defense of your home.

That's a sophomoric way to look at things. It's also antithetical to base psychology. "Everybody knows"😂 that children are precocious and would like to portray themselves as being more mature, more adult, and with more of a leadership role than they really have. That's why adults that are in gangs take advantage of troubled youth and groom them into becoming runners, then later on get them initiated into the gang and have them fulfill all types of crimes for them.

@@agaragar21 I'm 100% a believer in self defense, and sometimes that can extend to defending property. Take the case of the Ukranian genocide, where Stalin ordered troops to take all the food from the farmers that produced it because the farmers were "greedy kulaks", and millions starved to death. Taking property absolutely can be a life or death situation. This particular case does not appear to be one of those situations.
@@agaragar21 Braindead take, considering vehicles have been the 3rd most popular weapon of murder after guns and knives in the past 4 years alone.
Get real, G. Touch down.
That's why gangs of crooks want to recruit teenagers, because the instinct is to let them go and if they get caught, the jail time is little to nonexistent.
No it's not, it's because children are easy to manipulate. These don't care if children get time in prison. Lots of kids go to prison. I knew some kids that got life in prison for doing a crime for a gang member when they were in high school. I'm 44 and they're still in prison. They will never ever get out. The murdered somebody. It was so fucked up. The people that coerced them for hours had first drugged them and then threatened to kill both the kids if one of them didn't pull the trigger, supposedly it had been unloaded just to scare the victim. These were "grown men" in their thirties punking high school kids who they had drugged with LSD and then taken deep out into a forest. The gun wasn't actually unloaded and they were screaming at him to shoot it and when he pulled the trigger it went off and killed the kid and now both of those guys are in prison, but the older guys got away with setting it all up because my two clasmates were terrified of snitching.
I loathe how the media keeps saying "13 year old GIRL" to make people feel empathy towards 13 yeard old THIEF!
Children know well before reaching 13 years old the difference between right and wrong.
You say a juvenile doesn't really understand life long consequences, but adult gang members having teenage gang members do their dirty work is VERY deliberate.
It's that notion of "F- around, and find out" and that girl just found out...
If they did not understand the consequences of their actions, they would not run from law enforcement whenever they’re doing wrong.
Don’t steal people’s shit, kids.
People ain't having that shit no more
Today's lesson: FAFO
And somewhere in Chicago, some mother is screaming "MY DAUGHTER SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING SHOT WHEN BREAKING INTO A CAR OR STEALING A CAR THAT ISN'T HERS!!"
Many teens have been raised to think that because you’re a young person, you can’t be touched….by others, or by the law. We as a society need to change that….now.
Not a child a thief
Alright, so by your logic it's ok to shoot a twelve year old for stealing.
@@thatonefpsgamer1339 in the heat of the moment your not checking Id's all you see is a person stealing. Guess stealing doing smash and grabs are ok because it brings milk and cereal to the house.. if a parent can get charges for thier CHILD grabbing and using thier gun then so should these Hoodlums parents 🤔
@@thatonefpsgamer1339 Sure is.
Those labels aren't exclusive to one another 😂.
@@thatonefpsgamer1339 If they are trying to steal a car, weapon, or other implement that makes them an obvious threat to the lives of others? Yes. If you think otherwise, you're insane.
The kid almost learned a lesson. But she lived. For now.
She's 13 years old. She should know better. The problem is that the kids don't care about how their criminal acts affect others.
In self defense, age, sex, race, religion...NONE OF THESE ARE FACTORS to consider.
Killing over property is not self defense. You folks are so delusional
In DC two teenage girls stole an uber drivers car and killed him with it. The mayor of DC blamed the driver … the dead driver.
Yea, that's when I learned Mayor Bowser wasn't mayor in a Mario Bro's game.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Don't steal cars.
You’re right. The adult is about to win a 9x6 cell at the state prison. Because she played a stupid game…
You saved me the trouble of posting the exact same thing.
So original
@@BrokenBarBox no she wont, the only way something like that would happen is if
1. the gun wasnt registered to her
or 2. if they see zero evidence of tampering of the car and the teen was just "passing by" which is unlikely
I keep begging my son to not take his family, all kids are very young, in to Chicago. There is nothing there worth seeing or doing. Avoid Chicago.
note to criminals...the woke justice system may overlook your crimes, but the fed up victims wont
Screw that! Teenagers know damn well what they're doing. They know the difference between right and wrong. They understand choices and consequences.
No they don't
@@cmoneymadhopsso it’s fine for 13yr’s to steal cars and possibly wreck them going 90+ and killing a family of 4?
They know what they’re doing
@@cmoneymadhopsyes they do. I knew the consequences of my actions as early as elementary lol
exactly, they know that at a very young age. Thats why a 5 year old tries to hide the evidence when they steal a cookie without asking. I'm so tired of people acting like teenagers committing felonies just don't know what they are doing. Yes they do.
@@archierush868 someone not understanding doesn't mean it's not wrong
Don’t take what’s not yours, 13 years old need to be in school, daycare or at home.
Legally she cannot even babysit!
What a wonderful group of certain citizens that contribute so much to this country ✊🏿.
SO AT 13 YOU HAVE TO BE 16 TO DRIVE OR THATS BRAKING THE LAW THE REPORT SAID
The cops don't need the car to investigate this situation.
tired of the news and media trying to make us feel bad for criminals
It's called lack of parenting.
And the problem is what.
