For me camera or lens wich are not sharp is the same as Hi-Fi music equipment with too little high frequenses.

so when we use nikkor lens on fuji body using lens adapter, we losing the AF ability on nikkor lens? I'm planning on buying secondhand Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 to capture architectures. Can you give the alternatives to it?

Exellent video! Based on your videos I bought a D3300 for 210 euros and a 18-55 P! for 40 euros I was looking for a lighter camera next to my D700 and D300s. The results I am getting are really amazing. I was also thinking about Fuji but I am a rather old school person hating to leave the dslr. How much better is the fuji 18-55 compared to the Nikon is then a relevant question which no one seems to answer.

For real, you can't go wrong with ANY Fujifilm camera, all of them are amazing on their own

A great lens for flat art like walls, and their contents.. edge to edge is outstanding on my 23mm 2.0 already, so I can only imagine this lens.

I'm sure a lot of aging performers and news hosts would prefer the taking lenses were from around 1960. The book Proust Was A Neuroscientist goes over the early topic you brought up. How the brain interprets the world before it actually sees it clearly. Handy in dangerous situations. What adds to this is that there are more neurons running to the eyes from the brain than there are from the eyes to the brain. It also discusses artists using techniques that foretold how the world is actually perceived. Fun book.

Great video. Touched on the points. Glad you showed the rendering. I've used kdenlive for a little while now but still picked up a couple new things. I've used shotcut and openshot, kdenlive is better for me. I even built a new Linux pc for it and made a video about it.

Just a correction: both the rings on the lens are zoom rings. There is no aperture ring on it. You will have to use the dial.

Is it possible to render the audio on MP4 videos at 320kbps in Kdenlive? It seems to only do it at 192kbps.

Considering buying a Nikon D5000, I currently use a D70S and unfortunately it’s dying on me so I need something new but can’t afford these $3k cameras. I do car photography, would a D5000 be a good option?

When you turn on super-macro, you can hear the camera shift on the inside. Something I find quirky.

Most important i like this D-3400,,, Ofcourse i take it with me when afraid of taking more expensive Cameras for damage or theft,,, Its just a pressure FREE feelling,,, Of not loosing expensive equipment,,, This i can keep in my car always.!!!

I got this with my XS 10 Fujifilm I took this lense to Asia, did some portray work and and street photography . The outcome this combo produced was overwhelming and exquisite . Also have the 35 f2,… but if I could use only one lense ,…it would be the 18-55mm.

So I have done multiple tests and while I respect your explanations those do not seem to apply to my GFX cameras. In the sense that DR setting does affect the RAW directly. I understand what you meant regarding the JPG conversion where the camera does offer you to apply the DR setting to produce the JPG but this is a a different process that the DR setting when shooting and producing the RAW. I can clearly see a difference when editing the RAW versions of a same scene with constant lighting (street at night with only a lamp post to lit the scene. I can recover more the highlights in the RAW shot with DR400 than with DR100 or DR200. I am obviously not talking about simply looking at the embded JPG ( as you mentioned in another post). I am talking about actually moving the highlight recovery cursor in the development module. That is all the proof that RD setting affect the production of the RAW. The 3 RAW files are clearly not the same. Even Kim Kasson wrote a blog post with the RAWDigger graphs illustrating that. When testing on my X-T5, I can confirm it worked the same way.

I believe you‘ll find that incandescent (tungsten) bulbs will flicker a lot more than good-quality LED ones, as the latter require a capacitor as part of the AC/DC rectifier which will reduce or eliminate voltage level change caused by AC. LEDs do flicker, but this is induced by the electronics to reduce power consumption - this should be a frequency beyond that captured by the camera shutter.

Sounded like my XF1's symptoms when the internal FPC is breaking but in your case changing lens changed nothing. How about cleaning those camera-lens contact pads?

I was planning on buying a second hand x-a1 but you talked me out of it. I've read so mùch about it's impressive sensor, but alas, I may have settle down with the newer x-trans sensor.

You could have compared the images by zooming and showing the details. I've read that the x-trans tend to MUSH foliage. The Bayer, however, do not.

So many nice pictures! I was reminded of my own vacations in Italy. You managed to capture a lot of "atmosphere". 3 sec per image was fast, I wanted to look more. Some commentary in the video would have made it even better. I noticed less slanted lines on buildings (than expected) (looked good), then I read your comment about Gimp. (I have a Fujifilm X-E2, too).
