Thank you, Tom! As always, an excellent and very well performed test! I have both the AF-S and the AF-P version and I conclude it's good to keep both. 😀
Thanks for this informaitive photo! With my D3400, I am using with the AF P DX VR kit lens, and loving the images..Thanks again for your info: Note: I also have the 55-200mm kit lens as well!
Hi! Thank you for your feedback. Are you using the D610 in the crop mode with this lens? Since it's a crop sensor lens but the D610 is full frame camera some compromises need to me made. Kind regards!
The sharpness isn’t really a problem with modern lenses. Chromatic aberration and general distortion is immense with those lenses built to be as cheap as possible. The D610 deserves some better glas..
Hi! Thank you for asking. I have no first hand experience with the no VR lens. Since these lenses only go down to F3.5, typically VR is a very good feature to have. Kind regards!
One point though your eyes are not seeing 35mm or 50mm corresponding field of view, please correct in your next video. Your eyes have horizontal FOV of about 135 degrees and a vertical FOV of just over 180 degrees, that is comparable to fisheye or super wide lens. Please be careful which such misinformation, a better way of explaining is that framing a picture in 35mm or 50mm, i.e. the field of view is wide enough to have point of interest and supporting elements in a frame for a natural looking composition, if you go wider i.e. 28mm you can put more elements in view creating space or adding weight to certain bodies in the composition, or create depth depending on vertical or horizontal framing, going to a narrower fov, 50mm, 85mm create tension in the frame , or more focus on a subject.
