- In this video I measure if Nikon D3300 is better at handling high ISO values than Nikon D3400. I measure noise, signal to noise ratio and dynamic range of Nikon D3300 and D3400. The result confirm that the D3300 and D3400 handle noise quite differently. Also, the auto white balance on these cameras behaves differently. I’m showing you several graphs that suggest that these cameras are more different that I thought. One camera is better at some aspects and the other is better at some other ones.

Hi! Thank you very much for watching!
thanks so much for this video. exactly what i needed to know!
Hi Kals! Thank you very much for watching. I'm glad I could help you. Kind regards!
Thanks for this! I've recently bought D3300 for 130$ with a bunch of Inclusions. It's been 2 weeks and I love using it every day!
Just a question tho, what's the sharpest aperture I can get with my kit lens? It's AF-P 18-55 Nikon Kit lens. Thanks!
Hi! Thank you very much for asking. I've just produced a video where I address this very question: czcams.com/video/6N0IjFZddfs/video.html . The sharpness graphs start at 6 min, in case you don't ant to watch the entire video. Best of luck to you with your D3300, it's a really nice camera!
Thank you so mcuh, @@tom_photo ! I'll definitely watch it.
Thank you very much for this comparison, it's very useful! I currently own a Nikon D3100, looking to upgrade to either D3300 or D3400. In your test do you measure based on the RAW or the JPEG images produced by the cameras? And finally which one would you recommend based on image quality, for someone that shoots only in RAW?
Hi! Thank you very much for asking. My comparisons were made based on JPEG. I think the raw files of both cameras are so similar that there's no reason to prefer one to the other. Best of luck to you with your photography!
Thank you very much! It's so helpful to get a view from someone who has used both cameras!
@@user-xd8ti2ms5e You're most welcome!
Interesting, were you able to determine by how many stops is it noisier?
Hi! Thank you for asking. The method I'm using does not allow me to determine the exact number of stops. It could be only roughly estimated. Kind regards!
I need a higher dynamic range...
Hi Ranveer! Sure. If you work with raw files then the two cameras should be incredibly similar. The differences in dynamic range apply mostly on JPG work. Thank you for watching!
Jpeg....fine...thanks...
