This review was super awesome.
Friend had one of these as a kid. It was a great controller. Felt better in hand than the standard controller, and works perfectly.
I love ur hardware reviews more than anythin but I like ur game reviews to keep up the good work :)
I like the fact The Superbad Controler carries The Super Famicom color scheme
I always liked the Super Famicom controller and how more colorful the face buttons are compared to the SNES controllers.
It's based on the Super Famicom controller, which is why he said it "carries over the original Super Famicom color scheme".
I love that controller. I have two of them and they're absolutely great.
aah good thing the hardware reviews are back. i want my lord karnage sandwich re reviewed! ^^
This review was SUPER
I still have this controller in its box. It is a mighty fine pad, indeed.
Got 2 of them. Bought them on Ebay for a few bucks and they work great!
That review was pretty Super : )
Greatest Game Console in History. Period.
Lasted a nice 10 year run with an incredible library.
I had that controller for my old SNES. It was quite good. :)
I like the different colored action buttons.
Great Video. I think these controllers are great. I like how the buttons pop out. Great choice of game an all time classic. I believe you can not have an Snes without Super Mario World.
Yeah, the SNES is awesome either way. Definitely what I consider the best console of all time.
This is the only thing I held onto when I sold my SNES/SFC collection on eBay years ago. And I still have it! lol
This is indeed a super-review!
love classic gameroom
Mark's voice is SUPER legendary
Only controller I can play Tetris Attack on. The buttons were more poppy than the default snes controller, allowing faster button pushing. When you pushed the buttons, they popped back up fast. The orignal snes controller buttons could get stuck.
The reason i got into gaming :D
This controller deserved to be licensed because since it is a bit thicker then the original controller, it will fit a litle bit more confortible in your hands.
I never even knew the original controller had purple buttons until I went to my friend's house and saw his. Somehow my brother's SNES came with the InterAct pad and I always thought the buttons were colored on all the controllers
Cool video! I want to get a SNES now! I probably grew up with that console the most when I was kid. :)
What kind of camera do you use? Just curious...
I am pretty happy that the Pal region got the attractive version of the SNES :D
That was my first Super Nintendo controller. Countless hours of Super Mario World were played with that controller.
Fuzy2K same here but with Mario RPG... good old days
I was thinking the same thing, they look like those god damn sour but still super sweet candies.
This I agree with. The American SNES cart design had actual labels on the side, which European carts do not.
I dig the background music.
I love your haircut.
YES YOUR AWESOME
Thats right be Jealous of those of use with the PAL console. we get the Japanese styling :)
THANK YOU!!!!!!
And we in England get the multi coloured button pads :D
new snes controllers smelled so good
Man, my tiger just keeps eating my controllers! Mark understands me...
Do you have the Sega Control Stick (a joystick (would they use this word for a games console accessoire today?) for the Master System)? I'd love to hear your insight in that. It's quite special since Sega choose to reverse the stick and buttons side.
Question: Why did Sega (and f.e. Atari) choose for the standard plugs for their systems, and others (f.e. Nintendo) did not?
I personally like the purple buttons on the American version, but then purple is my color of choice. The super Famicom controller is more of a pop of color but also reminds me of preschool due to the 4 basic colors.
Good old times
I was playing the super nintendo like 5 minutes ago and playing the same game too!
Anyone know if this is viable for speedrunning?
I LOVE YOU! YOU ARE SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!
yeahh the video game crash was pretty bad but hey it still made popular the idea of using cartriges and having a console in you home rather than having to go out too an arcade
i`m looking to buy a classic game console but i don`t know wich i should buy wich one is the best?
Thankfully they made the future consoles universal afterwards.
I've had one of these for ages and the d-pad doesn't feel nearly as responsive as the original pad or the Ascii pad with all the little turbo switches (I don't recall what it's official name is). The pad sticks out of the controller farther than on a standard pad so diagonals, especially in combos (think SFII or FFIII), are frustratingly difficult.
I'm glad i'm not the only one that has a tiger eat his controllers.....
This controller's got soul, and it's superpad.
It's SUPER!
I'm so glad here in Europe we got the Super Famicom design for our SNES. It looks a lot smoother then what you guy got in the USA, basically just a big brick with ugly colors. But hey, you guys got better cartridges.
Bridgeman nah i honestly prefer r eu version cartridges there alot smoother
If it had concave x and y buttons, it would be the best super nintendo controller ever made... along with turbo fire :)
Castlemaster712 Is it just me or does this Interact Superpad look a tad smaller then the first party snes controller?
its fascinating
Mark, playing Mario while holding the run button is a good thing. Trust me, thousands of players do it.
I really should start collecting controllers.
i hate when my tiger eats my shit... mike tyson knows how i feel
Why was the DE-9-form cheaper then making up some other form?
+Lord Karnage really good jump there 2:06
SUPER!
Mark you should review the UltraRacer for PSX from InterAct.
HIGH 5 !! WINNING !!
oh that never happened to me, just gotta make sure you got a good coolant system, or at least keep you room temperature low.
The USA SNES was the best model. It played Japanese super famicom games without the need of annoying converters that used to crash the game half the time to play. The games just slotted in as normal. Also every game ran at full screen and full speed with no black borders at the top and bottom of the screen.
The color scheme of the actons buttons are also the same color as in Europe, not just the Super Famicom :P
best controller for the snes
my super nintendo still works which makes me happy but i already have 2 working 1st party controllers available so i don't need the super pad, but yes the super pad is a good quality 3rd party controller which you don't see very often.
I have that television 0.o cool video too
Damn that tiger.
What went wrong with the superpad 64?
when my laptop gets hot I just turn on my mini fan and put it behind the place where the fan holes are, that would prolly work for a desktop computer too.
I got one of these and tried it on my SNES with disappointing results (no/very little response). However, I decided to try it on a compy using a SNES-USB controller adapter and it works perfectly for that... Anyone have a guess why that might be?
If only HCG and Rob Man knew about this controller when they bought their SNES.
I miss my snes. Its not the same using roms. Ahhh secret of mana, shadowrun (yay kickstarter), that bruce lee game based of the 90's movie.....
I had that controller :P
Think you could review or get your hands on a "Nintendo 64 Hori Mini Pad Controller"? It's expensive as hell, but it looks like a tiny Gamecube controller turned into an N64 one.
How the hell did Mark know my tiger ate my other SNES controller?!?
Yeah, I suppose. And the European NES looks like a VCR too so I think we got our NES design from the US and not Japan. But it was a different story with the SNES. I just think the American SNES looks a bit cheaper, colourless and less aesthetically pleasing but it's a matter of preference.
Both statements are accurate.
the color scheme on this super pad, is the same coloring as on the famicom and european PAL super nintendo controller :3 just tought i'd say that ^w^
If you think that's a sweet snes controller, you need to review the Super Hori Commander Controller.
damn I thought that was super metroid that I saw on the picture before I saw this video, oh wells.
My Superpad has a kink/short in the cable right where it exits the controller... :(
That was partly why they made the NES look the way it did; because they wanted it to sit beside the VCR in American homes and thought the Famicom looked too much like what is was...a toy.
the europe controller looks even so!
yeah!!!!!!
U should get the supa boy and review it!!!!!
Man, I think soon you are going to start review the screws that hold your super nintendo together. Plus, CGR Undertow already did this review.
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's SUPERPAD!!!
And undertow has done a lot that Mark has already done. But there's one Major difference here Mark dose it better then anyone on undertow ever could.
You guys should apply for CZcams's spell check and grammar police. Now hiring!
Not bad. Is the same Original controller, but more comfortable to use...
in my opinion it would have to be the Atari 2600 since it made the gaming industry into what it is today. the snes definitely has the best games and accessories tho :D
In Europe regular SNES controllers had multi-coloured buttons and our console looked more like the Super Famicom. I actually feel kinda sorry that the Americans got a cheaper version.
This is the ONLY off-brand controller that I actually prefer over the original.
It's beyond SUPER....It's SUPERTACULAR...
This is why i prefer being from Ireland, we got the PAL SNES, except we didn't get Earthbound -_-
U forgot to mention the Pal SNES has also this color scheme
WOOO GAMECUBE!
Super.
