I got the Super Famicom variant of this and it's incredible. Feels like I'm playing with a brand new Nintendo made controller from 1990 in many ways. Played through all of Mother 3 with it recently

I own a SNES30 (the game pad in the video) and I love it. Although, I had a lot of problems out of the box. You need to make sure your remote is using firmware version 4.0 or up. The three main problems I had when using the out of box firmware (Version 2.00) was that it didn't like to re-pair with devices that it was already pair to, the face buttons were not Xbox complaint, and the controller didn't like to take the top spot on controller lists (it would be "player two", so games that use only one remote would ignore it.) Updating the firmware is really easy and it makes a world of difference. (make sure to grab the new "4.0 manual" to see the new button commands)

I have the SNES30 (the one in this video) and the SFC30 (the Super Famicom-themed version) and both are awesome. I use them with my Raspberry Pi 3's built-in bluetooth, running RetroPie. Definitely the best bluetooth retro controller I've used.

ohh I bought the normal FC 8bitdo one a few weeks ago. Requires data-transferring wires and it could be troublesome to pair up but it looks great and if you can pair it, works fine. also, it's supposed to rhyme with Nintendo so 8-bit-doe.

I have the Super Famicom version and I have to state that these gamepads are of very high quality. Tried some knock off gamepads with original Layout in the past but all were shitty. Even the start and select buttons have the rubbery feel of the original. The only thing I would like is some sort of special edition with two additional buttons for fast forward or simillar functions in emulators.

My wife and I are both seniors and want to experience playing the entire Mario series again. We have to decide whether to wait and see if Nintendo releases a SNES Classic this year or buy a 30+ year old system (with wireless controllers and receivers added on). I see the Super Mario All Stars & Super Mario World game is available from China for $15 and in the US for $25 (as a reproduction - whatever that means). Are they the same ? Do you think the SNES Classic (if released) will feature HDMI and/or wireless controllers or will they try and keep it closer to the original ? One last question - is the older SNES Console completely compatible with the new HDTV's.
