That 'Orange Juice' story was so wholesome and lovely, i wouldn't mind at least a whole segment of wholesome stories at least once a month from this awesome story teller
I've been so conditioned to hear something other then this, really expected something more strange, dark and mysterious. Its a nice break because i tend to hold back from watching his videos tell they pile up and just binge watch them like a really good netflix show.
Honestly thought he would die after he won bigâŠâŠ
I fully expected his to say that the wife got so mad, without listening to her husband's full explanation, she threw the ticket in the garbage disposal.
That story doesn't end well unfortunately
I was afraid the grandpa was gonna kill someone, thank god it was a wholesome story haha.
A Mrballen story that has a happy ending definitely falls under the âstrangeâ part of âstrange, dark, and mysteriousâ
Actually they died after 3 months of winning, they passed in a car accident and their bodies were found charred
Just kidding
@@ZinxTheSlayer THANK GOD MY DUDE
Honestly I knew they were lottery tickets since he said 2 slips of paper but it didnât detract from the suspense because I was expecting the poor man to die. But he didnât and he sure as hell ainât a poor man no more. So wholesome đ
I was expecting a murder story with the lotto ticket one for sure đ
Fr I was like WTFF
That little scene at the beginning with Mr.Ballen laughing was so wholesome to me. We need more of this. Also, why does he despise the like button?
That blooper was awesome to see. Caught me off guard because he's always a bit on the serious side.
I've seen him laugh while trying to tell his jokes about the Like button in a few of his videos, and I can't help but laugh that much more because of it.
Well, everyone wants us to hit the like button, so either the like button is an innocent victim of mob mentality and human greed, or they're finally being brought to account for their various crimes against humanity.
MrBallen is just a little bit more intense and creative than most.
Although i do like his storytelling and he's good at picking stories, i think the like button jokes are always a bit cringy
literally i loved the giggling it made me happy
The first story was a complete surprise, for once a happy ending! Itâs crazy how Mrballen told it as anything bad could happen at any moment, he really knows how to keep you in suspense!
I thought the man was going to be killed by a deranged psycho when he was trying to exchange the OJ . Mr Ballen is a master story teller for sure . Its genius to mix in feel good stories with the macabre.
Right when he said he looked at a sign and gave the $5 back I knew he bought lottery tickets
I know lol.
Caught me completely off guard. Was expecting him to end up being the evil grandpa
Usually we pay hefty price for good end in first story. ....
Sure its cool and a nice story but im here for the strange dark and mysterious. Maybe it could have been included as an "extra story" at the end to lift spirits. But that just completely threw me off lol.
"I love orange juice now"
Sheesh I would too if I won 315 million
there u r. i was waiting for your comment.
lol
Yes, that is the joke
same lol đ
HEHEHEHA
I actually have similar story to second story here. Not as intense as this one of course, but the end point is pretty much the same and it reminded me of mine. So I'll tell in few sentences.
When I was only few months old my mother was chilling on the balcony. This was during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1994. Suddenly our house phone ringed and she went from balcony into the living room to answer the call. When she answered, there was nothing on the other side of the line, just blank silence. She said "hello" and then bomb hit the balcony, devastating it. If that phone didn't ring, she would've probably died that moment and me with her.
Oh wow...saved for sure xx
Whoa! That is insanely lucky! Lots of thanks to whoever that call was from, for saving you and your mother â€ïž
Donât think I really have a story like this, or at least canât remember or maybe just blocked any out lol but there was when I was 9 years old, my mum was heading to a physiotherapist appointment and for some reason I felt I really needed to go with her, so her partner at the time and my little sister stayed home and my mum and I headed to the appointment together. We ended up getting in a car accident on the way there. Apparently I yelled âmum!â just before the impact, but I donât remember doing that. Luckily we got away with minimal injuries (I had bruised hip bones, my mum had a cut near her eye from her glasses and a big bruise on her arm from the airbag deploying, and we both had whiplash, but some long term effects are still with us now; back/neck pain, I have a lot of anxiety around cars and havenât got my license yet because Iâm terrified of driving). To this day I am so glad I went with her, even if it wouldnât have made any difference, I donât like to imagine her going through that alone. It was traumatic for both of us, but hopefully the fact we went through it together might have made it easier to deal with than if weâd experienced it separately.
And fools complain that God never saves lives.. I'm going to make a whole documentary about it.
These phone calls are for sure from some time traveling organization that shapes the timeline. The call in the story was to maybe target the car behind her. Or to save her and some of her interactions create a butterfly effect that shapes the future. Or both.
Also at the same time all could be just a coincidence. A lot of stuff is always happening to a lot of people. Miracles are bound to happen. Humans do seek meaning in everything.
That was a definite save, there is no reason to assume that the girl's car would be hit by the car out of control if she entered the highway when she got the call.
Man, I was not expecting the wholesome first story because of the title of this video but I am so happy for him and his family.
Tbh, Iâm so used to your stories being dark, I figured it was a lottery ticket and he won a big amount BUT that someone murdered him for it đ© Iâm glad it was not what I thought! The orange juice story was so great.
Omgosh i thought the same thing too lol. That maybe the kid was annoyed for doing a $5 refund and went crazy and killed him.
@@christi776 LMAO could you imagine that twist xd
I swear I was so anxious the whole freakin' time! It just seemed like there is bound to be a terrible end to this story as well. Probably his wife would be the one to murder him because he used up money for something seemingly useless. Kinda tells us what state of mind we are surviving in and I DO NOT like it. đ€Łđ
i thought it was gonna turn out HE murdered someone for it, like in Fallout: New Vegas where you can kill/steal from somebody to get their winning lottery ticket and use it for yourself
edit: especially considering his wife pissed him off
Well, we're only getting his story because he DID win. What about the stories of the other half million guys whose wives are ALL pissed off at them for wasting money?
Best storyteller on CZcams, no question
Agreed!!!
Thank you!!
Well you come to the right place
đŻ agree
that grandpa got ball of steel
MrBallenâs storytelling skills are remarkable
Absolutely
He made a wholesome story so menacing I thought it was ending in murder đ
honestly, he is. he reminds me of a variation of chubbyemu, who's a doctor, a toxicologist iirc, that makes videos about cases of poisonings. if you've seen a video titled some variation of "person intakes some amount of chemicals, this what happened to some part of their body" that's him. they both have the skill of high knowledge regarding a topic, while also breaking it down for clarity, but without making you feel talked down to or feel lost because you can't catch up. they're both incredible storytellers.
He is but that first story was super annoying actually. Bought a lottery ticket and he tried to disguise it as this buildup LOL maybe the most cringe-worthy story I've heard from John
the last story reminds me of an incident that happened near my home town. definitely not as horrible as murdering someone but the the story was similar. these two guys were out fishing in a swamp like area where they found a man crying for help in a tree. when they got close to him they realised there were a bunch of crocs surrounding the tree. the guys on the boat managed to get him down to safety and they enjoyed a few beers on the boat and became friends. once the local news found out about the two guys rescue it went semi viral around our home area. that was until a week later when police from a nearby town arrested him from escaping there local jail and that's how he ended up in the tree almost eaten by crocs
yo what? That low key made my heart drop lol
Good one!!
I THOUGHT YOU MEANT THE SHOES CROCS I WAS LIKE WHAT???
â@@violentbobđWhy would he be talking about the shoes?
đ
That orange juice story had me breathe a sigh of relief! I for sure thought something was going to happen to guy when he went back and forth to the grocery store. Nope, he just hit the lottery for millions.
Same, I was scared for the whole time if he would get killed in some tragic "accident" by winning it
Ikr? The stories he tells almost never end well.
I know MrBallen was trying to build up suspense and tension with the orange juice story but it was obvious to me it was lottery tickets the guy had bought. I did get surprised though because I thought this was just the one story and the title is Evil Granpa Almost Got Away With It so I was thinking with how nagging and awful his wife sounds that he was going to do a Chris Watts and killer her and his own kids and try and run off with his lottery winnings. Or 20 years down the line he can't handle his bullying wife anymore who's gotten worse since they became rich and decided to concoct and elaborate plan to have her killed using hitmen or something lol
I thought it was going to be that urban legend about the guy who took too much LSD and thought he was a glass of orange juice for the rest of his life.
well its even rarer than this lottery win to find a ballen story where the protagonist lives and didnt kill anybody
I was waiting for the suffering, the pain, the betrayal and murder but I only found joy and happiness for him and his whole family. The suspense was intense.
Same here.

Real nice to hear a happy lottery story. For a moment, I thought the wife was going to rip up the ticket when he handed it to her! Brave man.
Hearing the orange juice and Aurora stories was like MrBallen's own glitch in the Matrix - happy stories. đ More please, love â€ïž your storytelling but they lay heavy on the heart. Need more happy đ glitches.
Love the beginning with the giggles, made me laugh, too. We got a little bit of everything in this episode with a happy ending, creepy glitch or supernatural, and one where karma finally catches up to someone. Always love listening!
Totally!! đ now a Blooper reel of Mr.B would be a hilarious!
If you had a gun to my head and asked me to guess wether the giggles were fake or real I would guess fake lmao
I didnât realize how much I needed to hear laughter. Thank you for spreading the joy!
Ikkk its like watching bloopers at the end of a movieee
Yes! I literally was shocked lol it was adorable.
The first story made me shed a tear. A hard working family man, doing whatever he possibly can for his wife and family ends up working out in the end. He deserved every penny
I'd say otherwise. They clearly weren't the brightest how they squandered money going by the examples told even in that brief story.
I squander money when i dont really care living check to check. As long as the bills are paid im okay being broke. I just felt a little related to him when it came to how he views money, and how his wife does.
Someone winning the Lottery is extremely lucky but strange dark n mysterious NO
I hope it really ended up good for him. Many lottery winners of the big lottery's end up wishing they have never won.
No one deserves that much letâs be honest. Literally no one needs that much money
I know this is a year old, but the stories with unexpectedly and inexplicably happy outcomes are so refreshing! Please do some of those again.
His laugh is enough to fuel me for the next year, that was so freaking adorable.
I'm so happy for the family in the first story. It's people like him and his family that deserve to win the jackpot.
@qiwun hun____đ A lot of times winning the lottery causes people a lot of problems.
After listening to the full story Tyiev (sorry if spelling is wrong) deserves the jackpot not his angry dominating wife... just my humble opinion
99% of the time it completely ruins their life.
@@billp4
Far worse problems than being poor. By a lot.

I love the first story. It's so great that a family were so worried about $2.50 (they probably spent that much in gas returning it and then going to another store and buying the one on sale) ended up millionaires. I always hate when people who are already financially stable win the lottery. It's cool hearing a story about a family who really needed a miracle and actually got one.
And suddenly he's richer than Brad Pitt. Agreed, it's nice but I so need his luck!
I was so scared that something terrible was going to happen, the suspense was killing me, this mad man
I hope him and his family are doing well :)
Probably cost 30cents to drive that far. People that are financially illiterate that win the lottery usually end up broke and in so much more debt then before they won after a handful of years.
Agreed. I wouldn't have gone back because of the gas + my time being wasted. Good for them though
Orange Juice story had my mind constantly jumping to horrible scenarios of him getting robbed or worse at convenience store. So happy it was a feel good story and had a happy ending. Nice change of pace from your other stories đ
What a great 1st story. I love ordinary people who have their lives changed for the better, but this is so good, & such a down to earth family. I bet their generosity to their family & their chosen charities changed so many other lives for the better too.
That had to be the most suspenseful and mysterious sounding lottery story I've ever heard

The first story makes me smile. Glad to see the lottery jackpot went to someone who deserved it. I hope they didn't go broke like so many jackpot winners do.
The glitch in the matrix story reminds me of another one I heard about a year ago. I'm not as good of a storyteller as Mr. Balen but I can try. I'll keep it short. The story is of a woman who was driving to work. She took the same route every day and listened to the same radio. That day she tried to tune in to her favorite radio station but couldn't. She shrugged her shoulders and thought a change might be good. She stopped at a stop light at the intersection and her GPS told her to turn right even though she never went right. She'd usually go straight at the intersection. The GPS also told her that there was an accident at the intersection so she needed to turn right but she could see there was no accident. Reluctantly she turned right. The road was weird, it didn't feel right. It's like she went from a city to a rugged terrain just by turning instead of driving forward. She passed through a prison she heard an alarm sound indicating that prisoners had escaped outside of the prison door was a black SUV with two men dressed in black speaking to someone over the walkie-talkie. She went to work safely but as soon as she got the chance she searched online to see what happened at the intersection. The GPS said there was an accident but she didn't see an accident. Turns out there was an accident and if she hadn't turned right she would be one of the wounded.
Thought you was going to say the accident happened just after and the gps saw the future.
@@TheReviewedByMe That's what she said, just not clearly. She said that if the woman hadn't turned right, she would've been in the accident
Omg
The man who won the prize is well deserved. He, his wife, and children, "each" picked five people to give $100,000 too. Good people who shared there wealth, when most won't.
less then .3 of a percent of what won..... Little more after taxes...
@@jordanarcher5345 .... its 100 thousand fucking dollars, does it matter how much percent of the money they give away?! Imagine you give 100k to someone after winning the same lottery, then you see the disgusted look on their faces after they say: "this is only less 0.3% of what you won" :/
How could someone be stingy when they just got a free windfall of cash for basically nothing. It's not like you can take it with you or need anywhere near $300 million dollars to live comfortably. You'd have to be a special kind of person to get a massive income dump like that and not help out those you are close too.
People will say not to tax the wealthy and then get so angry when someone like him donât immediately give away every penny they won. Iâm glad he got it and did good things with it. He didnât need to choose five people but he did. He could have done other things too that we donât know about. But ultimately, taking care of his family is the best thing to do.
What is that a couple million out of over 300 million they won? So they just chilled with their 298M after that thinking they are charitable amazing people? I realize taxes probably took half, but let's not pretend they gave anywhere close to enough to feel it.

Apparently scammers can somehow call you from numbers that actually belong to random people. Iâve had random scammer calls and when I texted the number, the person told me that itâs been happening with his number for a while. So that could be what happened with Aurora. Of course the story is still incredible, but in case anyone is doubting the possibility of it. I have had similar things happen that are impossible to explain with the understanding of reality that we have now. I hope she and Aurora stayed in touch! They probably could help each other in a lot of ways.
The best part of the story that he left out was: Aurora was making the call from inside the house!
What do you mean?
â@@Geo.Austria it's just a joke, referring to old famous horror movies. đ
That spookiness makes more sense. To me Aurora is a bad character. She had Sara stop to cause a delay in that other car. The timing was all wrong to SAVE Sara. It was timed to KILL those others.
Sara was never going to die had she just kept driving and gone past the other car before it served.

Pretty sure these are picked by his editor or producer and he doesn't know what's coming.
same
Cuz itâs 4/20 lool
he's a such a dad
Story #2 about the dreams really hits home. I have insane dreams and no one can tell me why as of this post. This included medical professionals. I have had a similar experience with a dream and then found it relates to a real event that has nothing to do with my life but someone else's on the other side of the world. The only reason why I know this is because I watched my dream play out on the news during coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It's too long of a story to post on here but to this day it gives me chills. It made me feel like I was connected to a woman I had never met, will never meet and it was all via dreams.
Actually, the Bible talks about such things. It would probably fit under what's called prophecy. (Acts 2:17-18) It's listed as a spiritual gift in the Bible (I Corinthians 12:10). I've known people who are gifted in such ways.
crazy and cool hearing Mr Ballen tell a happy story, and also making it intriguing and even suspenful
Mr.ballen laughing at his own joke is the best thing I've seen today. You should start posting bloopers like that cause I know a lot of people who would watch them
I think his wife writes these, and I think he reads then blind for each video.
@@TheAbsol7448 when it's true then it makes it even better
I want a bloopers video so bad hahaha cutest thing ever
Yep 100%.
I like when he adds it instead of cutting it out hahah
The first story made me so happy. As much as I admire your storytelling, it gets heavy hearing about so much tragedy happening to everyday people. I'm thankful to hear Tayeb and his family come into such good fortune. He lives up to his name "Tayeb" for sure.
ok "cassini"
@@TheGoldenDuckies Tayeb means generous and
cassini means the dark region between the two brightest rings of Saturn.
@@afd1040 yes
Yes sometimes I can't take all the tragedy đȘ
Yes! As i am used to MrBallen, I was waiting for the tragic moment. I was sure he would end up being unalived, etc but surprisingly I was just a happy story :)
Yup, your right. I did get goose bumps when I heard the Aurora story.
The thing about the aurora story is she didnât have to call her to get her number, scammers canât hijack other peoples numbers to call people but when you call back itâs a different person itâs more or less a miracle that it turned out to be aurora
You know mr ballen has a talent for storytelling when he makes you believe the first story will be about murder but it turns out to be really heart warming.
I knew the second he said he got " two slips of paper" meant he got lottery tickets
And it's the exact opposite of the last one. You think it's heartwarming but it ends up being a horror story. If it wasn't for process of elimination you wouldn't expect Alan to be a murderer.
I wanted horror, and instead, I got a boring story about a man who doesn't really love his wife, because he lies to her. I need blood.
for real i thought wife stole it lol
it might end up about murder eventually 1/3 of lottery winners fate don't end up well
I canât be the only one who thinks itâs absolutely adorable when Mr. Ballen laughs.
His laugh is completely different from how he talks and I love it
Amen
Please shut up, thank you
sus
It is the cutest thing ever!!!
I DO AND I ALWAYS REPLAY THEM....HE HAS A CUTE GIGGLE..
I absolutely love when i see CZcamsrs genuinely laugh like Mr Ballen. It just proves to me that everyone is human and plus it brightens my day all the more.đ
Ballen Bloops!! I'm HERE FOR IT!!! In such a grim series, seeing you giggle is refreshing.
The giggling and having to start over multiple times because of what he's suggesting to do to the like button alone is worth a like. Too funny. I always look forward to Mr Ballen's story time and the ongoing vendetta against the like button.
you just reminded to like the video
Yeah! But..come on that was Brutal 'poor like Button'
@@Avalonsarrt Nice! I admit that I have wondered about that. It's a family channel for the strange, dark and mysterious.âïž
I love how he can make a simple story of a man winning the lottery sound so intriguing
The final story with the plane passenger spotting the SOS , maybe he would've been better off freezing to death, i can't really decide, it's like my mother said to me as a kid "Be sure your sins will find you out"
Iâm so confused about how to feel about the last story
I think it's good he was spotted. Cause if he wasn't he would have died and then most likely wouldn't have been found as their killer
That's Karma for you.
@@vriskaserkettheif_of_light I disagree respectfully. He got 40 years of freedom, had kids a wife and won't be in jail for long due to his age... Death on that mountain sounds like a good sentence to me in this situation.
The downside however is that the family would've never known who the killer was.
I understand your advocating for psychological counseling. Severe depression, anxiety, Truama induced Psychosis ect... "Mr. Ballen", has become part of my morning routine and, it helps keep things real, for me anyway. I appreciate you!
Every time Mr.Ballen laughs at his "like button joke" it makes the joke way more hilarious IMO
It's the same concept as when we see someone smile we are inclined to smile back.
Exactly he started laughing made me smile and laugh lol
The one where he cracked about the "feral cats" had me laughing so hard I missed all the stories and had to rewatch the video. đ€Ł
I agree it makes it so much better
How dare he accidentally (?) use psychology to make us like the videos Even More?! :D
(jk, i fell into the same trap)
That first story was beautiful! Thank you for telling a story where they didnât get murdered at the end. Even though Iâm a fan of the strange dark and mysterious told in story format-itâs always great to hear a beautiful ending.
Fiction is better than reality! always!
Not to be a debbie downer, but how was the orange juice story strange, dark or mysterious?

Your ability to use words to paint pictures and take your audience on a journey is incredible. The art of story telling is dying off. Thank you for giving a fresh perspective to this art. Well done Sir.
Only MrBallen can turn a winning lottery story into a horror story.

I feel like if this dude was a teacher he could trick kids into learning with his great lead-ins and storytelling.
He would be an amazing teacher!
Esp an online teacher that could edit his class videos yet attend them for present questions etc.
I always disliked teachers like that, because I couldnât tell if they were joking, or being serious and saying something I needed to pay attention to
Right? Somebody to finally make history classes interesting
I had a history teacher like him. He was great at teaching the subject. I learned and retained so much from him. Luckily I went to a small schoo so I had him three years in a row for different history classes. l
The first story was such a breathe of
Fresh air. Keep sprinkling little bits of light in the dark Mr Ballen.
