  • A lot of Fearful Avoindants struggle with mental health. This could be anxiety, OCD, depression or a combination of those. I myself have struggled with all 3. But unfortunately, the depression lasted the longest. In this video, I will share my personal story of my depression.

✅ About Paulien Timmer - Healing the fearful-avoidant.
The way you feel right now is not the way you are. If you want more freedom, calm, love, and peace in your head, body, and life, it is possible. You are not too broken.
‌After spending 14 years healing the fearful avoidant attachment style, I am beyond passionate and dedicated to getting you to where I am now: living a life true to myself, waking up feeling rested and peaceful. Deeply in love with my husband and looking forward to the future. This is what life is supposed to be like, and it is my honor to help you get there.

In the past 7 years, I have guided over 2000 people through my Dutch programs (I am from the Netherlands), to a secure attachment and happy relationship. Over the past year and a half, another 150 beautiful people have been through the English program Healed&Happy. I love seeing how lives can change within three months, and how NORMAL it can feel to have a secure attachment. I wish you so much joy, pleasure, and love.

    Wow very insightful video.
What touched me most from your story is that depression/sadness is a safety blanket. It is a mechanism for people to take care of you (show affection etc.) and not to be angry at you. As well as an escape from responsibilities which come with the risk of failure.
I agree that healing the depression triggers is more valuable that living in the illusion of safety..
    Thank you Paulien ♥️

Paulien your honesty and rawness is to be admired. I think my poor ex had Perfectionism, FA , potentially OCD , anxiety and depression. If only she was more aware of these things I could have understood and helped her a bit better. It must be so debilitating. I’m not perfect myself. I get depressed and have social anxiety, fear of abandonment etc. Childhood trauma sucks. I still love my FA ex. I hope she is doing okay

My FA ex had depression, high anxiety and OCD. I wish I knew about their existence earlier to be better equipped. I would prob never chance it ever again.

hi!! Ive been watching your videos for a bit, your insights around FA attachment changed my life so much. Its so beautiful to see you opening up around the depths of self judgement and perfectionism in relation to how it can trap us in our reality. So valuable. Love this, and you! ❤️

    thank you for sharing 🫶🏼
I first came across your channel when I wanted to learn more about my FA situationship, she was leaning more towards the avoidant side and she has been through severe traumas, still have a lot of ptsd she’s experiencing. on top of it, alcoholism is an issue she’s currently working through…
in the midst of watching your vids, learning about her..I’m being made to realize that I’m also FA, but leaning towards anxious.
conclusion: it has been a month, we are not talking to each other at all.

Ah yes, it can be very challenging to both be FA. But definitely not impossible! Learning about this attachment style and understanding yourself and eachother a lot better helps so much. So, thank you for being here :)

    Hello
    Sorry for my english.
I am not on a depression but I have a question: is there a link between being always freezing cold and being a fearful avoidant ?
    Thanks...

    • @paulientimmer-healingthefe9870
      @paulientimmer-healingthefe9870  Před 4 měsíci

There is definitely a link between unhealed trauma and the inability to optimally regulate your temperature! So you could say yes
