Thanks Luke, recently been taking a long time to rank out of d2/3 and I thought that was just getting worse cause I ranked up REALLY fast. This helped me realize that it just takes longer as you rank up 😊
Exactly this. I've been having WAY more fun focusing on trying to play clean games, no matter my rank. I love the game a lot more now than I ever have.

I go back and forth between c3 and gc1 in 2s with 1.5k hrs (on console)

Imagine if there were no smurfs in this game. Now there are more smurfs than ever. The game is simply not fun anymore for solo queing. The higher you go the more smurfs you encounter
The reason i quit playing regular modes^ i only play extra modes and enjoy it way more

As a c3 peak gc2 Nintendo switch player I honestly did not think it's that much different compared to pc and all I was thinking that was serious was just the coaching and training but
That explains why I don't like 3v3

Constant tripping over other players, no time on the ball. Feels like chaos mode
I feel that once you get to Champ, the room for error has decreased significantly from Bronze and will get exponentially small once a player reaches GC3DivIV.
I feel there could be more Capable players who are hard stuck due to their lack of consistency in game sense rather than mechanics.

Honestly it's true
What you said is pretty damn accurate, I am chillin mostly in champ atm and I got pretty good mechs. (Consistent double reset musties etc.) Yet, I am not really a good player at all because of my lack in game sense which leads to free goals for the opponents and so on.
2v2 and 3v3 mmr distribution is different. You have to compare top x% to be consistent and not just how many matches to GC
Also what is your car design set up cus ik tw octane and tw zomba but what is the decal and the boost and the trail

Currently C3 in 2s, and C1 in 1s, and i just hit 1k hours last week
D1 peak d2 and I got around 1k hrs. ( I did spend a year in 2019 only playing 4v4 and I just came back in march)

Im just wondering, how I hit c3 past season and same season dropped to c1 somehow and now I barely can stay in c2. What's wrong with me. In 1s I have stable d3, almost peaked c1 where everyone says I am anomaly that I have this rank.
I started playing two months ago, I’m in Gold for 2s and 3s but I’m struggling to get better at hitting the ball when it’s in the air. Any advice? I feel pretty comfortable on the ground but every time it’s in the air I never fly up and challenge and I’ve been scored on a few times for doing that

We need to remind that these "reaching" times (especially GC+) are being pushed up by people who are stuck in the ranks... These hours are not average from "reachers".
Think how many 10k+ hours ssl's out there pushing the average up? same goes for gc's since its pretty normal for more "casual" players to peak at gc and dont grind more.
What do you call reachers? Average and it means average, cause hours can vary, middle ground is 4,5k the real player can reach faster slower ssl than this.

How long ago did you get SSL? Did you take a break or are you just on a current "valley" in your mmr and that's why you currently are gc2
@kanyondickinson5574 I'm also gc2 right now as a peak gc2 div2. In my lobbies there are quite a lot of ssls than previous seasons its probably because of the different ranked reset this season

Are we using hours that the games reads? Or total hours? I never look up total hours, so when someone asks how many hours i have, I'm going to tell them whatever the game says under career.
I'm blaming being stuck at c2 on not having a PC as well, just so yall know. Oh and I play solo que constantly. Never ever have a teammate I que with. I think I could at least be gc1 right now if I had both of those things.

Responses in the comments might be different from Wayton's results because your method of survey adds a lot of selection bias, usually no matter how you ask for responses.

My opinion is that they absolutely broke ranked with this last hard reset. Im low champ in mechanics, high diamond in game sense, but ricket league insists that im still just a platinum.
