The lack of self-awareness here is astonishing, almost everything he says confirms most of the issues fans have with him.
After this interview , Owen had to be stretchered off to hospital,to have a personality transplant
He never lived in Newcastle , helicopter back and forth from his Cheshire mansion . 103 grand a week for what ? He ended up being the most reviled ex player in Newcastles history .
he lived in an old school house at bolam lake, i should know i painted it. painted the annex for his parents when they stayed
he lived up there......stop lying and talk rubbish
A con artist who used Newcastle to be paid knowing that he had chronic injury and had lost the speed which was his best attribute ! The football equivalent to Steve Cram !
“It's not so important what people think when you come in; it's much more important what people think when you leave.” Jurgen Klopp
I agree that the Newcastle fans shouldn't have chanted "what a waste of money" as he was being stretchered off the pitch and obviously hurt but they were equally in their right to voice their frustration at a player who was their record signing at the time and was almost always injured. No other club wanted him at the time so he should've at least appreciated that Newcastle are a team who were competing for Europe and wanted to bring him in to basically take over Shearer.
No, I'm not a Newcastle fan.
Newcastle strikers
Andy Cole 84 appearances 68 goals
Michael Owen 79 appearances 30 goals
Andy Cole was a much better Striker than Owen he was double better.
Owens pretty shallow, he’s never shown any loyalty. Left Liverpool to win trophies and has regretted ever since
Ironically Liverpool won the Champions League the season after he left .
And wanted to go back to Liverpool but ended up winning the league with United.
I've ever liked Micheal Goal hanger Owen, but I do believe his version of accounts here.
Every time Owen opens his mouth he makes things worse. He needs to admit to himself he messed up big time
Wrong again. You literally know less than nothing about him or the situation.
@@peternagy-im4be is this you Michael? Keep your mouth shut and say no comment. Liverpool, Newcastle, Madrid and Manchester don't like you. That is called messing up.
@@georgeharalambous261 I was correct in my initial assessment. Absolute clown 🤡.
The criticism Owen gets is actually slightly unwarranted tbh I’m a Newcastle fan I was buzzing the day he arrived like all of you were. Did he fill his potential at Newcastle no and he admits that. You can’t help injuries. He is one of the best strikers Englands ever had. He definitely gets over criticised it’s rather boring to be honest. Football is rife with mercenaries more than ever. Calum Wilson had more time out than Owen. Owen did actually fulfil his contract at Newcastle. He was honest in saying he wanted to go back to Liverpool. Do you really think footballers deep down want to come to your club as their first choice? Naive.
Relationship gone ? You come through the proper Red ranks then , turn out for the Mancs ? Really ?
He used Newcastle to get back to the premiership then in his own words would leave after one season to go to Liverpool. Never lived in Newcastle so again wrong, was always injured.
His mindset seems to be you should be grateful I came to your club and he wonders why Newcastle fans hate him, total shit bag.
As a football fan i know about the Newcastle supporters and they are fantastic 👏 They love that club and the passion is second to none...I was up there last week with my wife and talked about all the great strikers that have been fortunate to wear that black and white stripped shirt...Unfortunately i mentioned Michael Owen 🙈If i did..They absolutely hated him up there and thought there must be something about this lad if every Newcastle supporter i spoke to hated him..Because that's not the Goerdie way 😮
Well done he's 13..
He should of stayed at Madrid another year
Why?
@@peternagy-im4be Worlds biggest club
@@juniorjones79 I thought that was Brentford....
4 years, 71 Games, 26 Goals. He played Newcastle for a fool. Worked with blokes like him before, think if they say the same thing over and over it will become the truth. Trust me, Newcastle fans don't ask for much but they ask for a lot more than this fella was prepared to give. What a waste of a phenomenal talent
Could you interview the boxer CRAWFORD ASHLEY please ?
Does any football fan want a player at their club that has a clause to leave for a rival club at the end of each season?
Michael Owen has always struck me as such a weasel, never showed any loyalty to anyone.
It was a bad move, should have stayed in la liga. The PL level got higher and his level dropped, sadly too many injuries. Peak owen was his liverpool days.
You know how you know he's lying? His lips are moving. My Dad met John hall at St James's one day and he told him this bloke rinsed the club for every expense possible. I can completely believe it. When he returned with Man Utd he was brought on and I've never seen such a toxic reaction from our fans. Was absolutely deafening and he was as white as a sheet. It was magic. 😊😊
Decent player, but what a boring dullard. As my Granddad used to say, "He could put a glass eye to sleep"
More than decent…
@@thesaintst1851 . Half decent, but with the charisma, and personality of a chewed sock.
Your daughter went on love island 😂 have some shame
Wigan offered more than the £16 million that Newcastle offered to buy Owen from Real Madrid
His chatting a load of kack 😂😂
Ohh don't be so brutally honest Michael - you know how tribal and over-emotional football fans are.
Emotional is one way of describing some of these pea brained vegetables that are football fans.
He was injury prone, But it wasnt on purpose, I feel once the fans started to get on his back then he had no desire to get fit.
i worked on the house he rented and a helicopter flew in and took him away so he did fly to training
How did you know he was going to training?
he wasnt going shopping was he
@@cardamundo295
But you don't know where he was going.....
no i dont no where he was going with the newcastle coach that got out the helicopter to escort him back to the helicopter. so yes your right i dont know but i assume he dont go many places with club coaches@@peternagy-im4be
@@cardamundo295 where else would he be going with his football kit on? Use your loaf you
Never committed to Newcastle. He saw Newcastle as a stepping stone back to Liverpool. Disingenuous w⚓️. "Shearer knows nothing about muscle injuries". I smell shite.
Dare to miss
Arrogance at its finest!
Who? You? Yeah definitely. Plonker
@@Ayah_Mia I'll decide

Sounds like you. Not very intelligent are you?
@@BrianBoru5523as opposed to a single solitary brain cell imbecile? Yes? I thought so.
He's got all the money but ZERO love from fans of the clubs he played for.
Hes talking nonsense.. the fans were harsh on his injury record because hed told so many lies by then and turned whole city against him
All lies. Can spot them a mile off, especially at the end.
I don't know what is so controversial about this. He didn't really want to be there, as evidenced by insisting on a clause that Liverpool could buy him if they wanted each year. The fans were aware he wasn't that happy to be at the club. That doesn't mean he didn't try when he was on the pitch, and certainly that first half season was promising, but the injuries after that were just relentless, and it is very difficult to love a player that apparently sees the club you support as a stop-gap in his career. He always had quite an old-fashioned approach to club football in that he put international football first. He shouldn't have gone to the 2006 world cup if his legs were that weak really, so his injury for the entirety of the 2006/07 season was down to risking it for England at the expense of Newcastle.
I'm even prepared to believe his account, or at least believe that he believes it, about playing against Villa in that match. Shearer was pretty desperate, the club was abysmally run, and he probably felt let down. Newcastle were a disaster over that period, they were declining when Owen joined with Souness in the dugout, and it just got worse.
He didn’t want to sign for us end of story
The player everybody dislikes.
Grow up, players go to Newcastle to get their last big payday.
He's chatting smack
Once a rat always a rat
Michael i cant train owen
I’m principled as a guy……..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Geordie mentality regarding football is quite something, delusional at best, just look how they treated the late great SIR BOBBY ROBSON! THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AT LIVERPOOL..FACT! LIVERPOOL FANS SAY IT HOW IT IS,NEWCASTLE FANS SAY IT AS THEY DREAM. ENOUGH SAID.
We didn’t want Sir Bobby Robson to go it was Douglas Hall that sacked him and he instructed the late Freddy Shepherd to very sadly let him go
@@Lonewolfx124xxx I remember the fans NOT GOING TO GAMES AND PROTESTING ABOUT HIM BEING TREATED SO BADLY! HAHAAAHHAHAHAHA THAT NEVER HAPPENED FACT!
Graeme Souness wanted Nicolas Anelka he wanted to play for us and succeed Shearer and become our number 9. Michael Owen couldn’t care less
He should never have signed for us we were second best
