One huge regret of Graham's is his time as manager of Liverpool. If he'd made changes gradually I believe he would have been a huge success. He's gone on record saying the Liverpool job was a huge regret.

Not a Chelsea fan but surely the concern is FFP, massive overspend on players who are on huge wages and lengthy contracts. If it weren’t for the Saudi league then Chelsea would be stuck. Who knows what’s happening over there in the future. They may just close the doors on new incomings. What happens for Chelsea then.
As a United fan I’m too familiar with the frustration of poor transfer strategy.
I think the plan was to amortize the Billion spend in such a way that it only looks like 150-200m per year. Then Sell players worth 200-250million from the bunch every year to cover costs and make about 50-100m a year in profit It's actually tough to do in a traditional business but with player sales they can do it with the sales of 3-4 players.
Like they did with Mount and Havertz this year. They also increased capacity for premium seats and are on course to increase season ticket prices for the first time in 10 years. The bloke Todd Bohley seems daft but he can read and manipulate a balance sheet.

Didn’t happen. He bought Johnston from Nantes. He was an ex-Celtic player. Good signing for him in hindsight and ended the ridiculous ban on catholics playing for rangers.

A billion quid on players is 'incidental'. Simon Jordan just makes people listen to him because of his confidence through public speaking. He knows no more about football than any of us. I listen to him every day, because he's good to listen to - but because he knows bigger words than me doesn't mean he knows more about sport than I do.
My point is, no non ex-player has a voice as big and listened to as he has. He knows what he's on about, but he's not always right like he thinks. I like him, but if he spoke to me in the alehouse like he does to some on the radio, he'd get a sharp left.
He knows plenty more about football than you and most other people. He owned a football club for 11 years.

How many owners have won things for their clubs? Only a few clubs win honours. We got promoted, almost stayed up and was never in for relegation in old division one so he was pretty good to be fair
