    Crystal Palace is usually in the most relaxed place on the table. Don’t fight for European spots and rarely get into the relegation battle. They are consistent in their form and league position in the mid warm area.
    Still, they do that in a relatively small stadium and with limited resources.

    A lot of people revel in tearing Simon down, but at the end of the day, Simon got screwed over and to top it off, during the global financial crisis. Steve came in like a cunning wolf and cleaned up. Did Simon make mistakes? Absolutely, but he did get screwed over.

      Stop making excuses. Smart business men cannot see into the future but they make plan for unexpected economic downturns. Simon Jordan failed miserably. He sounds bitter at times when he does not need to.

      Exactly.
      Personally I thought that he gave a fair assessment to the situation, especially considering he doesn't like Parish.
      And on a side note, I wish that the club that I support was in Palace's position right now.

    Like him or loathe him, SJ speaks his mind and for the most part is very fair on other people's viewpoint and recognising other's achievements OR failures.
    He calls a spade a spade.
    He lacks warmth and oozes arrogance at times, but that doesn't make him incorrect, just human!
    I'd like to have a bevvy with him for his intellect and sarcasim alone!

    I thought Simon was pretty spot on. He was fair in his thoughts towards SP and came across level headed. I think the logical consensus is that Textor would be best to move on to pastures new.

    Is this Simon Jordan a troll? Who heard of the items to be voted on in PL till after the meeting? No reporting that I heard or read listed them to any significant level. This idea that someone in Missouri should have “heard” about it seems a little off: how about the internal communications of Crystal Palace not informing everyone about how Steve was going to vote? Is that a possibility?

    Palace = Stability. After the first season of staying up ...Palace really only had 1 season where they were in a relegation fight. Built a new academy. New stand in the works. Younger attractive squad. Long term set up.

      WHo has made it without money? none have.
      You may want to learn some details about the league and it's history Chelsea was not a big team until large investment of money.

    Simon is usually scathing on Crystal Palace and Steve Parish because of his bitterness so if hes ok with them. Its because you cant argue with his tenure of being in the Premier League once in comparison to 13 years consistently being in the Premier league is a relative success. Also why should Steve Parish get into a slanging match as a current Chairman with the previous owner. He helped clean up your mess SIMON JORDAN. FACTS

      Have you watched this video? He wasn't scathing of Parish at all here and even gave him credit. It was the American owner he was being scathing about. He did have some minor criticisms of the club in a sense that their decision making could have been better when compared to a club like Brighton, but, from a neutral perspective I don't see him being overly critical in this specific video.

    Simon was a terrible owner and never good enough or rich enough to make Palace a success, why Jim white always asks his opinion when talking about dealing with agents and running a club lol. It was such a long time ago that football and how to run a club has moved on something Simon cant seem to comprehend. He's good entertainment but in reality he's just a waffler with abit of money.
