  • Vortioxetine is a relatively new drug used in the treatment of depression and anxiety which combines the "classic" SSRI mechanism of action with effects upon multiple seretonin receptors. These differences have led to it being described as a seretonin stimulator and modulator (SSM) - although the exact classification name for drugs with this mechanism of action seems to be still subject to debate.

I've taken 3 tablets (vortioxetine) and noticed that it's made my tinnitus worse. Not impressed so all ssri/n/modulators massage theirs worse or cause it? I had tinnitus years ago and just off switched off to it however i took 2 duloxetine tablets last march and they've brought my tinnitus back, very unhappy with this and it's distressing the noise and now the fear i can't take tablets without worry about making tinnitus worse or not permanent.. any ideas etc
