When I first took Trintellex it made me throw up the first week! After that I would have quit it, but it finally worked. For the first time in years, I look forward to waking up in the morning. I have never been a morning person. I'm alive!

@@AskCurtis I'll check out the website! This may be a tall order but... Some of the candidates nearing FDA approval in the drug development pipeline might be interesting (thinking specifically of ansofaxine but believe there are a couple of other SNDRIs "in the works" too!)

This is the first med that has provided some relief for me and has not caused horrible side-effects. I have been on many over the years. Landed on this one after the provider reviewed my Genesight results - which we finally opted to do after 20 years of struggles and many attempts at different medications.

Do you have sexual side effects?
Been on it for 1 week and 4 days. I have had 0 side effects. This is my first time taking anti depressants. I take only 5 mg. I do feel a little better already, i dont feel the intense meaninglessness of life and all i do, and i sleep alittle better to. Im36 and i work out aswell, eat healthy and take, nac, nalt, q10, omega3, spirulina and creatine aswell.
Still no sideeffects 3 months later. Other than i dont have my low lows anymore and it seems to have taken the edge off my autism meltdowns and all aswell. Im on10 mg now and starting 15 in couple days.
Thank you for this informative video. How should a bipolar disorder 2 patient feel with a treatment of Lamictal and Trintellix please? The hypomania that usually gives a big momentum of motivation is gone but now I feel an intense lack of motivation and no interest in my hobbies.

I was offered this at todays visit but chose Wellbutrin instead. My history is 2010 major depression + anxiety & ocd (from anxiety) failed grad school, tried many antidepressants, couldn’t stand them bc of weight gain and ed, eventually ended up with benzodiazepines and many ECT. Since ECT I switched to ketamine therapy, worked great for a year but is wearing off, and I’m fearing it’s causing cognitive decline + decade long benzo use. I deeply fear these meds bc I’m very overweight, sluggish, & have sexual problems as it is. Anyway, My doctor did say Trintellix can help with dementia can you describe how that works please ? Also which medication Trintellix or Wellbutrin would give more anxiety? Thank you.
I’ve been taking it for 4 weeks. It’s helping me to control my emotions better, but I am experiencing nausea. The nausea only bothers me in the morning.

Can vortioxetine treat OCD without exacerbating Schizophrenia and psychosis?
The most noticeable side effect to me is the decrease in libido. Nowadays, it's 1 second boom, next second pfft gone.

My first week under trintellix, Noticed some good feeling I mean improving my feeling and less of those negative thoughts , but lot if diarrhea, dizziness, and problems with sleep patterns. I can sleep right away after taking it in the morning. Or if I take it before sleep, so i will sleep no more than 3 hours .
I am very confused with this medication. Any help?
Thanks for the kind words. You may need to talk to your doctor about either adjusting the dose or trying something different. People respond differently (and unpredictably at times) to medications.
As a t-1 diabetic I have found some SSRIs can negatively affect blood sugar control as I have found. thought to share and make this known as the area of diabetes control isn't really spoken in terms of these medications and yes I'm new to trintellix medication. It is early days yet so I may give comment in reply in a few weeks of how this medication affects my diabetes control when I know more of the pattern
Reply response still adjusting but finding my blood sugars are crazy all over the place but I will give it some more time

Why is it so expensive? Takeda offers help, I get mine for free but it's almost 500$, 440$ with the insurance i have.

@@jessicamellish2814 Hi Jessica, I've upped to 15 mg now and am doing a lot better. Have been having trouble sleeping so switched to taking it in the evening around 8 and I'd say it's helping me get to sleep a lot better. Also switched to a different private health insurance policy so I get $40 back each time I get the prescription.
Wanna know what it costs in america? Its 445$ for a month. The medication has saved my life
I find this drug to restore my cogniti function and interest in life.

How has your experience been?
Could this be helpfull with racing thoughts and also adhd? Im on Lexapro and i cant use stimulants cause of anxiety.. I heard off label it could help people with adhd? And does it treat anxiety good? And OCD?

It wasn’t bad at first but then gave me terrible tension headaches so I stopped, but tbh I react badly to a lot of stuff, I think I have some kind of underlying medical condition but I have no idea what.

Great drug, best so far. Nausea is real, may increase stomach acid production. True regarding sexual side affects. In my view better than Lexapro for anxiety.
I had no side effects but likewise it made no difference either. Might as well have taken a Disprin.
Been on it three weeks. Dont feel that much different. Should i give it more time to work? My next appointment is in a month. Should i ask for a higher dosage? Read that it takes up to eight weeks to start working in some patients. Is this true? I should add that my suicidal thoughts are mostly gone.
Per the guidelines, give it 6 to 8 weeks

Been using for the past 6 years. But I developed TMJ. Is it one of the side effects? Or is my TMJ a side problem?
Not a side effect that I’ve seen or heard reported. You never know but I would guess your TMJ is mechanical/physical in nature
I had TMJ I may make a video about my experience and what I did to help it
My psychiatrist prescribed me for OCD as i refused to take fluvoxetine as it cause sexual side effects and i took fluvoxetine for 3months it cause me sexual dysfunction then i stopped on my own my sexual side effects didn't solved, after 1year it start improving side effects then my doctor prescribed vortioxetene for its fewer side effects but after two months delayed ejacuation started and no interest in sex now i want to again discuss with my psychiatrist to change or whatever to do what do you think does these sexual side effects are from vortioxetene or still from SSRIs

@@jameswalker68 no acctually but the most damage made in my case lamotrigine it totally took away my desire and i no longer feel anything even when i stopped my dr wanna put me on trintellix but im so afraid of still trying and do more damage
This medication caused me to have constant ruminating thoughts of suicide. It was absolute torture and I was unable to stop the negative thoughts. I have been on multiple antidepressants over the past 30 years and have never experienced suicidal thoughts with any of the others. After 2 weeks of torture I stopped the medication. It took about 1 week for those thoughts to stop. I am 72. Beware of how you feel while taking this medication.

Trintellix is not an SSRI a pharmacist doing a review and the first sentence is incorrect😅

Good question without a good answer. PSSD tends to be underreported so I would suspect the risk is there. But not listed as a side effect
