    This drug lifted me out of a deep psychotic depression that was treatment resistant. I can read again, my house is clean, my life is becoming organized, and the delusions are gone.
    It's been 24 years of trying 20+ meds, and this one made me cry in relief.

    Whichever drug you have taken or you are taking or you will take in future I would tell you that you are brave, you are a fighter. A psychiatric drug or mental illness doesnot define you, you are much more than that. Even if nobody cares you matter, you have a worth. You will overcome brother, I will overcome brother. We are not weak, instead depression is. Walk through it. One step at a time. Slowly, .....All d best. God Bless. 🙏

      Sem vitimismo, nem exageros ou coisa parecida, quero dizer que, desde criancinha, tenho acentuado tremor essencial e grave ansiedade patológica, enfermidades que foram ganhando novas formas, como uma bola de neve ao longo dos meus 46 anos de vida e de sofrimento. Há um tempo, ando sentindo forte angústia diária. Se não tomar o alprazolam, agora de 2 mg, a angústia evolui para o pânico ( dificuldade de engolir, sufocamento, sensação de morte iminente). Segue ainda o desânimo, a apatia, a falta de energia. Energia literalmente drenada, o que me leva ao isolamento total, à ausência de interesse pela vida, pelas atividades antes, de algum modo, possíveis. O déficit de atenção e o pensamento acelerada também pioraram de 2019 para cá. Agora estou aguardando, novamente esperançoso, o antidepressivo vortioxetina. Estou tomando esse fármaco há um mês, mas numa dosagem ainda não terapêutica, por conta de minha hipersensibilidade a antidepressivos, o que sempre me impediu de continuar os tratamentos. Agora dia 13/09/2023 (hoje), minha nova psiquiatra vai ouvir de mim que não sofri nenhum efeito colateral na dosagem de 5 mg. Certamente ela irá aumentar para dose terapêutica mínima de 10 mg; não sei. Como os antidepressivos demoram um tempinho pra começar a fazer efeito se fizer efeito, terei que continuar na fé e na paciência. Fiz aqui um panorama de meu histórico, da minha luta, da minha dor, da minha vontade insistente de começar a viver. Tenho 46 anos de idade, de tremor essencial e de ansiedade patológica. Graças a Deus e a uma neurologista, o TE e o TAG estão controlados com o propranolol e com a primidona que já tomo há quase seis meses (logo, não deve ser novo alarme falso. Digo isso porque, às vezes, há medicações que costumam me fazer bem no início, mas depois volta todo o pesadelo, todo esse quadro clínico insistente, antigo, iniciado no berço). Para quem até então viveu muito pouco - escreve muito, é prolixo; este sou eu. Mas ainda não desisti de um dia escrever uma história bonita, normal, comum, relativamente boa. Acrescento ainda que a exclusividade, o único foco na minha vida é finalmente conseguir ter saúde mental, a fim de ser um homem funcional, ter uma rotina, uma qualidade de vida que me possibilite projetos, sonhos, realizações e bem mais alegria que tristeza. Eis meu sonho, meu heroísmo: Deus, ainda quero existir. Piedade de mim, Deus, internautas, médicos. Eu quero, como o homem comum, existir

    Buspirone is a great ad on I actually started on Buspirone and have been on it longer than any other psych med since I have treatment resistant depression and anxiety. I am at the maximum dose of 60MG and have been on it for 4-5 years. Probably have been at 60 MG for about 2 years. No side effects. I love Buspirone. I take 15 mgs 2x daily for what i believe i have being anxiety induced depression. I also take 10 mgs (at night) of Lexapro. But i am considering switching off Lexapro and instead taking Trintellix. I like Lexapro but i find sometimes my energy is depleted. I dont want to stop taking Buspirone. I only wish it had a longer half life. Thanks.

    • @DanielSRosehill
      @DanielSRosehill Před rokem

      Yup ... I'm giving it one month to see if the anxiety effect can be improved or if not adding buspirone. The multiple times per day dosing / short half life is a definite disadvantage. But for "augmenting agents" for anxiety it seems like one of the better options (to me).

    I'm still waiting for the magic to begin, to be honest. I was on 5mg for a month and have increased to 10mg a week ago. What I have noticed is that I am able to get out of bed as soon as a wake up, and I can get on with the day, but I still feel quite sad. Not as depressed but just flat...feel like crying a lot of the time. No anxiety but then anxiety wasn't the issue with me... it was MDD. No side effects at all. I just wonder if it is going to work. None of the SSRIs helped me and I had awful side effects.
