Wonderful! Was looking for this level of detail (as a patient) about how the mechanism of action differs between SSRIs and the serotonin modulators!

very nice! thanks for putting this together. What do you think of desipramine as a potential antidepressant with low sexual side effects? It's the most noradrenergic TCA.

I want to take Viibryd with Trintellix. These are the best 2 I have tried do you think this would be dangerous?

I was offered this at todays visit but chose Wellbutrin instead. My history is 2010 major depression + anxiety & ocd (from anxiety) failed grad school, tried many antidepressants, couldn’t stand them, eventually ended up with benzodiazepines and many ECT. Since ECT I switched to ketamine therapy, worked great for a year but is wearing off, and I’m fearing it’s causing cognitive decline + decade long benzo use. I deeply fear these meds bc I’m very overweight, sluggish, 6”4,300lb, & have sexual problems as it is. Anyway, My doctor did say Trintellix can help with dementia can you describe how that works please ? Also which medication Trintellix or Wellbutrin would give more anxiety? Thank you.
Does this work like psychedelics in a way since it enhances serotonin as well? Merci kheylee mamnoon

I deff would say the benzos are screwing up your memory cognition the most. Cuz I've been on tons of meds but wow every since I was prescribed benzos daily I swear it feels like I have dementia... I'm trying trintellix now but still just starting. How are you doing now

Vortioxetine does not usually cause sexual side effects. From what i have read about Vortioxetine is that it helps with anxiety that is caused by depression but it won't help generalised anxiety disorder at normal therapeutic doses though it might help at higher doses.

Um on Vortioxetine for the last 5 weeks... It doesn't cause sexual side effects but remember it is not as strong as SNRI etc against depression.. But still it works and will give you energy.. A side effect that i experience using vortioxetine is nausea...

I did my second week on it today (14 doses), I started already noticing improved emotional state and now even the beginning of a more positive bias towards every person thought or idea that goes through my head, but my libido has gone from 100 to 0 just like my hability to get and maintain a quality erection

@@rubetornabene8543 I gave up on this med, as it fucks your sexual arousal, plus gave me more anxiety and did fuck all for my depression, I'm now on Valdoxan (agomelelotine) no sexual fuck ups yet, but waiting for to kick in with the anxiety and depression part, its, a new drug so will see

It doesn't make sense. So this is nothing new. It would be enough to take SSRI with Buspiron. Now, Buspiron for most people doesn't work well when it comes to anxiety disorder. That means that new drug is just another shit 😅
