    Very nice shooting good groups for a windy day liking that nova not bad for price , I was out shooting my hatsan air max 22cal today 100 yards it was windy about 12 mph the 18gr jsb were every where 3 inch groups but at 60 yards quarter size groups on a perfect day nickel size groups , I enjoy watching your videos very much awsome

      Robert Kruckman , let me tell you it's got some major power pellet flying every where , I had to back up the hammer spring 1 full turn to lower the velocity to 910 fps with jsb18.13gr accuracy right on and it nickel groups at 50 yards on a good day , going to try 21 GR NSA hollow point slug but will have to crank up the power a little , may the weather will get better for you can get out and shoot your new air max 22cal .

Thanks for keeping it real. Appreciate your integrity, fantastic 100 yds. group! Great job on the stock.

I would hope after all the time and work that you put into the Lady that you just wouldn't cram anything into her.......Of course your using quality pellets but, even the good pellets have to be cared for if your looking for even smaller groups. Haj makes a good point....and there's that 13 mph wind💨😫

    Hi Dude! Greetings from Brazil! I think you may be cocking the gun too fast, this valve takes some time to stabilise pressure. I think waiting around 10s between shots should be enough, and maybe you got a lower spread. By the way, this gun is awsome for the money.

    Nice video. You did a lot of work on a budget gun and got it shooting pretty well. If you outlay a little more cash and buy a LW barrel for it I think you'll be amazed at what that will do to tighten things up. With the L&W you'd probably be getting .5-.75 inch 10 shot
    groups with almost any of those pellets.

    I agree with Haji about lowering velocity to see how precision responds. The higher pressures required at you current settings are likely tilting a few pellet skirts at the muzzle. A line of sight camera with the sun behind you would be very telling on what is happening with those fliers. I suspect you would see some occasional spiraling.

    Stephen, Another awesome video Dude and your DIY stock is Killer to say the least! I realize that this video is a few months old, but I'm hoping that you will still see my comment. I am a little perplexed because you had mentioned that you were shooting the JBS Monsters (25.89gr.) at about 949 FPS, but you were shooting the Heavy's (18.13 gr.) at a high of 900 FPS. My Liberty is shooting the Heavy's at 920 FPS, but will only shoot the Monster's at 780 FPS. It' seems odd that my gun is shooting the Heavy's about 20-FPS faster, but the Monster's about 170-FPS slower than yours. Any idea why mine is shooting the Monster's so much slower than yours, but yet the Heavy's are shooting faster? Is it possible that you were shooting the Monster's on a different day with different regulator/hammer spring settings than you were using this day while videoing shooting the Heavy's ? Sorry for the long question, but as I mentioned I'm perplexed because of the strange differences.
    Do you have any idea what the best speed is for shooting the Monsters? How about the H&N Barracuda Match? Thanks again for the great videos!

    • @AirVelocitySport
      @AirVelocitySport  Před 5 lety

      Thank you Thomas! I have three guns each with an adjustable hammer spring tension screw. One of my guns is set to shoot jsb monsters at about 940fps. The reg is set high along with the hammer spring maxed out. The gun in this video the reg is set lower to 2100psi and I was adjusting the hammer spring tension for each pellet's perferred speed. I will be making slugs next month. I will try to find the best slug design and weight for these guns. Because the barrel is a bit tight I will make .217 caliber slugs. Thanks for the kinds words. I just made a third Sporter stock. I will post a new video showcasing all three stocks in made for the Nova liberty.

    • @AirVelocitySport
      @AirVelocitySport  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Adrian, the avenger does seem to be a little more feature-rich on paper it does have the externally adjustable regulator which is a big plus. However the smaller air tube is going to be a little bit of a problem if you want to shoot 25 cal. It might be okay for 22 + 177 cal. If the avenger had a larger air tube I would definitely opted for that over the Nova liberty. the Nova Liberty has proven to be a very accurate and reliable gun with one minor issue. The poppet is made of a soft material that might leak air if you tune the gun for high power. However there are many people making puppets for the Nova Liberty on the GTA forum. So, that problem is solved. you can buy the Nova Liberty from ATI and if there is any issue whatsoever just return it immediately. The avenger is supposed to come out midsomer but there are always delays. There are also unknowns about the avenger it is unproven an untested so far. And yes definitely stay away from the Guantlet.

      Yes, that generally is the object except when you are testing different pellets/slugs and looking for groupings. I may have been zeroed for one pellet but when you switch over to another pellet or slug and different weight your POI with shift and rather than re-zeroing the scope you just see if they group well.
