Very groovy...especially the 1970s issues.
Glad to see that the Literary Digest Babe Ruth was graded - I thought those were too large! Thanks for sharing!
The 1984 Jordan SI is an amazing looking cover. That Canseco mag signed for 26$ f'in steal
Totally agree. That Canseco was sweet.
I'm glad your showing nice copies of subscription issues Brad. I own every significant newstand SI, but I'd much rather have a key subscription copy in the 9's as opposed to the same issue at, say, a 6 and below. Soon it's gonna be the only shot young people have at getting key issues in nice shape, which will ultimately help grow the hobby. Glad you're showing SPORT covers also. Their paper quality wasn't near as high as SI's, but still some really cool covers. And no staples to rust! Love the oddball covers.
So true - subs are the only way to keep this hobby alive
I just picked up one of those ACC mags from '80-'81 with Ralph Sampson on the cover on the off chance Jordan was mentioned inside. Inside it talks about high school summer league camps and senior Michael Jordan (at only 6'4'') was co-MVP and ended up ranked #4 out of all camp attendees with zero hype. Senior Patrick Ewing wasn't there but he was getting all the buzz.
That's awesome!
I do recall "The Legends" Magazines back in the early 1990's, they were pretty cool. The Dick Vitale College Hoops Magazines were awesome back in the day and I love the MJ 23 Cover, nice! Really cool video today, I love the diversity of these magazines. Thank you for this video!
Thanks!
i think of goal magazine as a hockey version of slam magazine ps love that brad shows other magazines as well ie sport goal time etc thanks brad
That's a good comparison!
What happened to Jan 2024 Part 2?
