I was on the edge of my seat since then in excitement! They should have put the bit where Verstappen asked why his battery is depleted? And the graph they showed of Verstappen's battery compared to Norris's, that just pushed my excitement into another level!!! Was so much fun! Oh and they should also have put into the highlights how at the end Verstappen's victory radio message was not the usual: "that was quite lovely" but: "BLEEEEP...." xDD Loved it! Don't think anyone gets much pressure after 58 wins and 3 championships. (before this race) Maybe if it is a closer championship battle as the season goes on, we might see more mistakes under pressure again.

    If it was role reversal and Max was chasing he wouldnt have got driver of the day. Infact he can be top in all 3 practice seeikns, qualify in first, lead every lap of the race, win the race and het the fastest lap and he would still never get driver of the day.

      If Noris was wining 90% of the races from the last 3 years, he wouldn't have got driver of the day either. You see, winning in the fastest car isn't worth driver of the day, no matter who's driving it.

    • @BMAD_Christoph27
      @BMAD_Christoph27 Před 3 měsíci +7

      Driver of the day is an audience vote. The audience will not vote for an expected outcome, but for something outside of the norm like a last to first, a great recovery, a car punching far above its weight, a miracle strategy or just class acts. Even though the Mclarens are strong right now, max winning is a highly expected result that no one would bat an eye over, even if he started 10th.

      They showed a lot of pit stops. Like, a lot. Then, to be fair they did show overtakes in that back that were relevant, and the ending with Norris and Max team radios etc was well edited. I would say the editing level of those highlights improved from the past.
      Still, I wish they would show the full moves, like in Australia when they only showed Sainz overtaking Max but didn't show Max mistake (or whaeter you call it with the brake failure) going out of track etc: it's all part of of he got out of position and got overtook etc. We need to see what happens before to understand how the overtake happens, not just the last second of the car moving aside.. it's how they got there, what allowed the speed and positioning for that car to be able to get there. That's the one improvement I would ask to the editors as of now.
