I've been a dog trainer for almost 25 years and I swear... pitbulls are the most fun to work with
Pitbulls are complete babies. Adore their humans and are big goofy puppies. Like all dogs, they have to be raised with love. All dogs have inherent instincts. All people do too. When we are mistreated, we change becoming fearful, anxious, and angry. This goes for all God's creatures. Dogs of this breed have been mistreated more than many others. It's an unfair assumption that they are bad and just waiting to attack their owners because if their breed.

That's actually an Amercam Bully, not a pitty. Not sure why people call bullies and staffies pitties all the time, they aren't. Us real American Pitbull terrier owners are the ones that have to deal with the bs that people bring against our dogs, the malicious animal control calls and the dog laws. Bullies are actually nothing like Pitbulls, at all. I have an Old Family Rednose APT a micro Bully and an XL bully. My pitbull is the oldest and he's the one that would do the most damage if somebody ever tried to attack me. Pitbulls can actually kill. Bully owners do not have to deal with anything that we do and I'm not sure why they insist on trying to cash in on the whole stigma against Bully breeds bs. Lol😂 BSL and anti dog laws are targeted mostly towards PITBULLS. Bullies have dog competitions, special kennel clubs while our Pitbulls, the blueprint, are banned

God forbid they have to leave the dog overnight anywhere away from them. I have a dog that is part of my family that I love and adore but at the end of the day she is still a dog, not a fur baby or a child.

The Pitt used to be America's family dog before we started breeding them solely to fight. They're very loyal and protective. We took advantage of that.
its in the blood you cant change that, its the facts these are guard dogs its in their nature to protect. Btw for many many years they used them for fighting this isnt new.
What matters more the genes or treatment? Cus I feel like no matter a dog's gens as long as their upbringing is correct they won't be aggressive without reason. The will, however, protect what they see as theirs. Dunno if that right but I feel like it. XD

@MJ Is The Goat they are good dogs , but they need plenty of exercise and attention . If they are bored or feel lonely, they can eat all your forniture . They need to be trained in their behaviour because they are strong and they should learn to not pull when they have a leash or push roughly when they say hello or are happy . If you have time , space and patience , they are good dogs . Be aware that you'll need to take care of them also on hollydays , for travelling ... and if you live on a rented house , some owners don't want pets .

@@WingoTribe704 because they're not a pit, a bully in this case is meant for an american bully, and not every dog is a pitbull, pitbulls are a single breed of dogs not a whole collection like mastiffs and bullies and terriers.
*Me &U* Yeah, the American bully and pitt bull aren’t the same distinct breed per say. They both fall under the Bully breed family (which is a more broader umbrella for these types of dogs hence why they all look similar to a degree.

God does this make me soooo beyond HAPPY!! I haven't been allowed to have a pit bull(or any dog) since my baby Mya passed...she was also an amazing example of how incredible this breed can be. When I see Pitties in great homes with awesome families it honestly touches my heart and soul. I'm soo happy for them!! You are spot on. I work with a Dog Charity in UK. I have never had any trouble with Staffies or Rottweilers, always face hugging them in total confidence. No Dog deserves a bad reputation, it is only their reaction of fear to brutal Humans. They have no fault.
Pure bred (with a pedigree) pit bulls are a risk to be left alone, I've seen 5-week old puppies maul each other with no provocation and without human interaction. They need love and management as NO training will alter genes. Fact.

on a level i agree with you, but i had one border collie who was given unconditional love and attention and he was like such a baby but he was such an aggressive vicious biter to other dogs. he had a neurological problem and also got seizures from time to time so i'm sure the aggressiveness was partially from that stress he was under a the time. so no, sometimes dogs can be bad, just like sometimes kids turn out bad no matter how much you love them or how well you raise them.
After adopting a Pit Bull I now tell people "there's dog love and then there's "Pit Bull love"!!!

Ted Mcgee pit bulls aren’t born aggressive and “killers” it’s how the owner treats and train them it’s not the dogs fault it’s whoever owns the dog, any dog could be that way if the owner trains them to be aggressive.
I adopted a 9 year old abused pittie pitbull and she's literally like that but with fear, but she only sleeps and wants kisses and cuddles, the sweetest babies ever ever!! She lives with a little dog brother and loves all the family specially kids ❤️❤️❤️❤️

A lot are viscious though. I have beagles they kill rabbits its inbuilt u can't stop them. These were bred to fight so who would want to take that risk?
