His tail would wag and he would love on us. The day I brought my son home he was crying and I sat him on the couch. I told my Rott, that’s your baby brother and he laid his head on my son’s legs and whimpered. I couldn’t hold back my tears. Some dogs just know! ❤️

      Harsimran Singh Depends on the age of the child. There is such a thing as too young. Little kids don't understand the concept of being kind and gentle to animals. Just like in this video when the girl was a baby and toddler, she was poking her fingers in the dog's eye! Smacking him and raking her fingers down him. He tolerated it well, but that's not something you should allow your kid to do. If they're too young to understand how you are supposed to treat a pet, or you're not willing to teach them, then don't get a pet....or wait until they're a bit older. I have heard of so many horror stories about animals being hurt or killed by little kids. Like putting kittens in washing machines and dryers. Poking toothpicks in their eyes, nose and mouth. Puppies legs being broken, being smothered to death. Just on and on....
      It's not cute to have your 2 year old stabbing your dog in the eye with a pencil, riding it and bouncing on it like a horse or any of the other million things little kids do. It's cruel! Too many stupid parent's out here!

      These people are great owners, (Or dog parents, as I like to call it) and so their dog is very gentle and sweet.
      Even Chihuahuas are that way. People who tease and baby them are in for a few bites here and there, but I don't do that with my Chihuahuas, but I still give them plenty of attention, so other than barking, they are very sweet and gentle. Ava Wing the American Pitbull Terrier was never a nanny dog. The staffordshire bull terrier was the dog referred to as a nanny dog...and that dog isn’t a pitbull. American pitbull terriers are naturally ANIMAL aggressive. They should never be human aggressive. Most “pitbulls” you see in attacks towards humans are usually bullies or American staffordshire terriers.(the dog in this video looks like an American staff not a pit) Those dogs are not pits

      People really need to come up with more specific names. Most people wouldn't call the american bulldog a pit bull (if they know anything about dogs) but it is part of that group.
      And bully dogs are recognized as making some of the best service animals. They are very attentive, loyal, and strong as hell.

      Ava Wing actually that's incorrect. There are no historical references for the American Pit Bull Terrier stating they were nanny dogs. Their a direct result of parliament outlawing bull baiting in the 1800's. I show and train APBT. They've been around for over a hundred years with the first being registered for confirmation in 1896. There are no documents are historical matter to verify such a ridiculous claim. It is however a myth that was actually created for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier another breed mislabeled as APBT but there aren't any historical references or sources backing up that claim either. APBT are tolerant towards people because it was required of them during matches to tolerate close proximity of strangers. Their genetically DA though.

      I've never had a pitbull, but, without exception, every single interaction I've had with a pittie has been memorable and pleasant. My experience has been that the biggest danger has been them licking you to death or knocking you down with their tails/tail stumps.
      Hector was a 13-year old pittie who lived with her human mommy. We had two cats who had recently died of old age, and we had a couple of bags of dry cat food we didn't need. Hector's mom collected cat food and donated it to no-kill shelters. When we discussed this with Hector's mom, she said she would take the food. Hectors face lit up, and his mom said that Hector loved to drag the bags of cat food to the designated place in their apt for mom to take to the shelter. We put the food outside our door and watched Hector dutifully do his thing. How can you NOT fall in love with these dogs?

      I grew up in a family that is composed more of dogs than the humans, I've got my heart swollen and broken every time a dog passed away, I have never been bitten by a dog purposely. Pits and Rottweiler were the majority of my family member and I very well knew that getting adopting another dog is superb but you should prepare a part of you to know that you will eventually outlive them. Its clearly a heartbreaking feeling everytime I seea beloved pet but because of them I knew how to value life of everything around me even as a kid. I miss my fur sisters and brothers now❤️

    We owned a pit bull when I was pregnant w/ my 1st son & their interactions were so good. The dog would literally sniff at his diaper, come put his paw on me, then sniff again to tell me to change him. Then when we had my 2nd son, he had regular ear infections & besides continuing his diaper checks, he would sniff the baby's ear & kiss it & without fail the next day we were bringing the baby to the pediatrician the next day for ear infection. It was amazing. My kids are grown now & we miss him. I fell ill afterwards & it took us years to get another dog, but I'm glad we did, & now my gentle giant knows when I'm having an episode & is by my side for it all. He lays w/ me on the couch, he pets me w/ his paw. We've been blessed with beautiful loving doggy babies.

      Dogs are great at sensing things. When my sister was pregnant my dogs wanted nothing to do with anyone else, they had to lay close to her or rest their head on her belly. Once my niece gets a little older and some of her health issues get settled I can't wait for my dogs to meet her.

      Growing up without dogs is a life without having to worry about letting someone outside.
      Going on holiday and not paying for kennel fees.
      Not having to clean the backyard up from poop.Not having hair in your house all the time.
      And not having to fork up vet bills for the last three years of their 9-13 year life.

    I work in a pet store and am around animals on a near constant basis. And there is no such thing as an aggressive dog breed. There are only aggressive dogs who have not been raised properly. People say Rotties are aggressive too but my God we have a Rotti that comes in regularly and he is the best boy I’ve ever seen

    • @jacksamunster4407
      @jacksamunster4407 Před 6 lety +8

      Midnite St0rm people tend to forget that all dogs no matter the breed have their own distinct personalities, and quirks. It's up to handlers to understand those traits their particular dog has. Unfortunately people lack effort

    • @midnitest0rm
      @midnitest0rm Před 6 lety

      Kevin Howard you can breed a dog to be aggressive yes, but that’s because you forcibly breed them to be.
      However, no breed as a whole is aggressive.
      And by the way, Labradors are way less aggressive and more docile than Chihuahuas.
      Chihuahuas tend to bark a lot and be really bratty because half the people who own them are rich raise them to be incredibly spoiled.
