I’ve had tons of dental work done due to periodontal disease. I have had trigeminal nerve pain from a bad root canal. Also, I have had periods of extreme jaw pain from opening my mouth for dental work, maybe jaw problems and arthritis. There are so many nerves and ligaments etc in the face and when you consider aging as a factor, I wouldn’t mess with it. It’s my take and not telling anyone what to do. I would err on the side of if it ain’t broken don’t fix it.😊

I am a 62 year old female which just had lower face & neck lift 10 days ago. I love the doctors at the Langone Plastic Surgery Center here in NYC. I had a bad reaction to the antibiotic I was put on but finished the 3 days before it became life threatening. I have since seen my allergist and will be having the blood work done tomorrow to find out which meds I am allergic to. Meanwhile I have developed a hard knot on the right side of my lower jowl area about the size of a marble. I still have most of the stitches and staples which will be removed in 2 more days. I sent an email to my surgeon and she told me not to worry unless it gets larger as I have the appointment in 2 days. I also have the crooked smile on the left side right away from surgery but they tell me it will correct itself in time. (I sure hope so). Right now it's the lump that concerns me the most.

you may want to consider botox to your masseters first. it's usually $700 which is a lot more affordable. the botox reduces the muscles mass in your jaw which makes you look slimmer. buccal fat removal is to remove fat out of your cheek pockets. i said botox because you mentioned wide and square, not that you have ''fat cheeks''

Also possibly V-line surgery. But im not sure what you need, i havnt seen your pic. Basically there are 3 things:
      - to much fat => solved by buccal fat removal
      - to much muscle => solved by botox
      - large bone => solved by V-line surgery.
Botox is easyest recovery and cheapest, V-line is the longest recovery and most pricey with most risks where buccal f. R. Is in between. But you need to fix the main issue, not just do something random. Get yourself an appointment with a good surgeon and best of luck

Just doing surgery like buccal fat removal while your body has like 30%++ body fat won't change anything.
Seriously, your face will look asymmetric. On top of that, your face just look the same. Still stubby and chubby.

10% body fat is almost impossibke to females. This is almost competitive body building level, at this point most women lose their periods and get unhealty. I get what you are trying to say, but even then its not always right. Sometimes its genetics. Saying this as i was skinny with low body fat for quite some time (weight around 46kg) and still my face looked like a swollen chipmunk. Im 31 and not fat, yet it still looks chubby. This runs in the family. My brother who works out a lot is also a chipmunk. So if that s something you really dislike, then surgery is sometimes the only option.
