Thank you for uploading this, I’m 2 weeks out from my surgery and my swelling was more on the severe side. Coming to week 3 and the swelling has almost fully disappeared but hoping I can see some results by week 6, this video has kept me sane during recovery!
How has it gone since you posted this?
zzz moving into week 5, the swelling has pretty much all gone and I can definitely see some contour coming in. (Especially in different light). I do have looser skin than normal, so my surgeon is doing skin tightening after the 6 weeks to get more results. There is still some puffiness/bruising underneath and behind my ear/neck area. Which is preventing jaw line from fully showing but hopefully that will disappear within the coming weeks.

@@Laura-sn8iy So I’m moving into 3-4 months since surgery and I have got a lot of compliments! Dr said I will start seeing more results after 6 months (I am also on a crazy fitness journey) my face looks different subtle enough that you cannot tell I’ve had surgery it looks like I’ve lost a lot of weight. As I was healing I was very anxious as I didn’t feel I had much change, but my comparison photos say otherwise!

Hey,im thinking about having this done is it a bad idea when im not in my 20s anymore?started to have sagging skin im 33 years old now...........did it hurt a lot?whats the risk?the tissue they remove is it just fat or is it also muscle tissue?

I have problem with moving my lips after this procedure now it’s been 5 hours since I left the surgery room and I’ve noticed it immediately there’s a weak spot around my upper left lip and left nostril. I just went to a plastic surgeon about getting this done and my nose fixed. He said he wouldn't take too much out so I don't look guant. They don't remove the whole fat pad, I was reading about it and they remove about 40%-50٪ of the fat.
Do they have to put you to sleep got this?

It really depends on the person. I know with me I'll probably be fat when I'm older just tbh so I highly doubt my face gets sunken in.

Hey I want this procedure too and I’ve wondered the same thing. Look at your parents to see your future, so to speak lol. My mom has facial fat like me-even though we are naturally thin, we carry fat in our faces. Even as she got older (she’s 56), instead of her cheeks hollowing out she is beginning to have jowls and the facial fat just sags. So based on that, I am not worried about getting gaunt from this procedure. In a way, I am beating my future of having my facial fat sag down. Basically just getting rid of it before that happens. Just my two cents.

Hi there, I saw on your website that buccal fat removal is 4,000, yet cheek lipo of jowls and perioral is 2,500. Just curious, is this because of level of difficulty or timing, perhaps popularity? Btw- I plan on setting up an appointment with you during the holiday season to do this... but just trying to understand the pricing model. I think a lot of people are curious about how pricing works. Thanks!
Sterling Forbes great question. The lipo is more of a shave so the results are not dramatic and it is reserved for patients with a particular fat pocket. It also does not need to be done in the OR

I think it depends for everyone. I had buccal fat removal, neck liposuction and a rhinoplasty and the buccal fat removal was the worst pain. It wasn’t excruciating but definitely hurt. Maybe it’s because I did three procedures at once and my body was like bishhh wtf. 😂

AJ F once the numbing wears off you can eat whatever you want for the most part! No spiciybfoods or sharp potatoe chips. Eat to comfort

val1988syd you eat what you can tolerate. Most people can eat food right after if they have minimal pain and the muscles weren’t traumatized at all! Sometimes it’s more swelling.

I wish I knew about this procedure 10 years ago! I used to have the biggest chipmunk cheeks 😂 Now that I’m in my early 30s my face has slimmed out. Your results look amazing btw. Very beautiful!
Exactly, you should be happy that you have not done the surgery because when you age and the skin losses elasticity, you would wish the fat was there.
@@abjealva exactly! I think this procedure is great for those that can’t lose the fat pads naturally. Kristy Comments She ended up losing her cheek fat by age 30. Thankfully She saved herself a lot of money and still ended up with results naturally. Most wish for their fat to leave but it never does and so they are good candidates for this procedure or those with naturally large cheek pads that won’t go away with age or fat loss.

Yo Mama not necessarily. If you are older a consultation to break it down is important. It won’t make every young person look over as they age.

I had this done 3 weeks ago and yes it was nice and easy but my goodness I had a very huge swelling especially from my right cheek due to excess pulling using instruments to widen my mouth. Still lol swelling but I see result already. Thank you so much dr, your website n this video helped to determine my mind. Wished I could travel to CA to have it done but I live in TX.

You know, I just got it done two weeks now, and it’s gone wrong for my left cheeks which causes it big swelling. I’m upset now with the result 😢 I have to wait probably 3 months to let my left cheek back to normal. I’m so down after watching this video cuz you get it right but I’ve got it wrong. I wish I could’ve never done it.

@@VR-ub2sq Hi V R, thanks for your concern. Everything is going well now. My cheeks are back to normal after 2 months and half, but still inside injures not yet getting fully recovery. Anyway, the result is quite not the same my expectation. For my case, I don't recommend to get it done if there is no big concern for your beauty cheeks. However, if you wish to do so, just carefully find the best surgeon in ur town. Trust issue is vital. Good day!

Some people can achieve a very similar look by sucking their cheeks in/vaccuming their mouth, while sleeping, every night. I did and I like it a lot. I can see it in pics and it's noticeable when I speak too. I would recommend you try it before you think about surgery.

Instead of wasting money on buccal fat removal, if Patel was a good doctor, he would've advised her to get a
1. Nose job - trim the bulbous tip, shorten it
2. Ptosis for eyes - her eyelids are droopy and makes her look sleepy and disinterested/bored. Also if you watch closely, you'll see the left eye is higher than the right, the asymmetry is unfortunate as there's no fix for that.
3. Jaw surgery to fix the underbite.
4. Adding volume via fillers to create front, low cheekbones to an otherwise flat face.
