your sarcasm >>>>
😄
Please never loose your personal touch (sympathizing with the patient, checking on them) Patients see it, they feel it, and appreciate it more then you’ll ever know. They’ll forever remember Dr. Dong and his kindness!!!
LOSE
Being as this is the first time I've watched, I can't speak to the rest of your videos, but you need a sarcasm disclaimer somewhere LOL. And the deadpan, straight faced delivery just put me over the edge. I need therapy now. I'll be billing you. *Great content, thank you for sharing!*
Haha I accept most forms of crypto
your level of determination & passion for medicine and helping people out is UNMATCHED. good job doc 👏
I’m not a doc but thank you!!
@@RoyceDong future doc!!
"That probably was NOT the best idea but I tend to not learn from my mistakes so I will probably do that again in the future" -funniest MD/PhD student
oh my gosh you are hilarious!! Your attitude is awesome and I wish you all the success in your MD/PhD! You got this!
I love this! I have always been so into trauma all my life, I am a 3rd semester nursing student and started working in Shock Trauma in Baltimore MD as a student nurse to gain more experience before looking for RN jobs. I am in love with the environment and I have so much respect for what the doctors and surgeons do in the trauma centers. I hope one day to be in the ER/Resuscitation units of trauma farther down my career. Keep up your amazing work, I am so glad you are sharing more of this side in the medical field.
As a fellow Philadelphian, I am so glad to see you capture the beauty and love found in every aspect of our city of brotherly love.
As a current M1 about to start second year here pretty soon, loved your perspectives in this video. I'm excited to get into the hospital during clerkships. Keep 'em coming!
A lot to be excited about after mod 2 :))
great video, I'm studying to be an EMT right now so it's interesting to see a bit of what in-hospital trauma treatment is like
That’s awesome!
You save lives ! Great video lots of cases interesting cases . Good luck Doc!
I love seeing Actual med student Vlogs, makes me so excited for my future!🥰
Med school is def an exciting time :)
Bravo to all medical personnel all over the world. We are grateful.
Thank you so much for sharing this real and insightful look into your life.
Its clear you have empathy for your patients and are going to be a great doctor.
wow what an eventful first night! I work at UPMC (Univ of Pittsburgh Medical center) on the other side of the state and our ed/ trauma bay usually only gets a couple rib/ spinal fx from pt falling or from mtv/mva’s. Most of them are transfers from smaller non tertiary care center ed’s too. gsw are pretty rare in my area so it’s crazy how that’s the first thing you had to start with. Thanks for sharing!
keep at it bro, love your videos, you will go far in youtube.
Super fun to watch! Your videos can getting better every time!
Thank you!
Super cool to see your day at UPenn! Thanks for sharing!

I’m a EMT in a busy metropolitan city, cool to see what’s goes on after we bring them in and give our turnover.
I love your sarcasm lol. Subbed!
Thank you!
That UPenn dual degree student grind, 3 exams this week, lab meeting and clinical shift Saturday 7am, you're doing great!
Lmaoo thanks

😄
I love your dry sarcasm man it keeps me on my toes 😂
It's hard to keep up with your medical career when you can leave it in a second and live off of youtube, i applaud your determination, great video doc, new subscriber🙋🏽♀️♥️
Well unfortunately I can’t live off of CZcams just yet…
But in all seriousness thank you, I’m very blessed to have a career in medicine and science!
@@RoyceDong yeah im also a medical student and working with patients really makes it all worth it, plus the guys are cute and it helps with my god complex😂
New grad nurse here just found your videos, your humor kills me😂
☺️
"That's called the growth mindset" bro im fuckin dead lmaoooooooo
Great video, Royce. Your raw experience at the hospital seemed as authentic as your Korean French fries. I picked up some sarcasm from you too haha. Loved the video though :)
Hahaha thanks!
First time watcher. Smart young man... I have to try that korean fried chicken!
Your sarcasm >
👍👍
Lmao. I love when you look at your watch and you have like 500 steps in. What a crazy night you had.
Inspiring, im an ICU RN and i love trauma. I would love to explore trauma sx but i cant afford to take med school prereqs :(
I was studying biochemistry "I am a first year med student when I saw you video on CZcams I liked so much it was such a good break from biochemistry 😅
Honestly anything is a good break from biochem
Not interested in a career in Medicine in any way, but this video is awesome.
How are you handling this so far? Nights have been causing me to feel sick though it's back to back.
I had a tubal 3 years ago when I was being extubated I vaguely remember waking up feeling like I was drowning swallowing to get more air and couldn't move i swore I heard the docs say they were going to loose me, next I know I'm waking up coughing up alot of yellow stuff. My fiance said they had to reintubate me I Had a layrngospasm after this experience I found I have lingual tonsil hypertrophy which also can cause difficult intubation. I need a endoscopy in feb and maybe lingual tonsil surgery find out in Jan but I link surgery to death now.. and the endoscopy...
Any recommendations for asian food out here in philly? I just started my MD program in philly!
the banana leaf tamale looking thing looks great actually, I saw those chicken feet I said no way !! Lol
isn't that you have to put on the apron and gown BEFORE you scrub?
بشرته أحلى من حياتي كلها
Lmaoo I love the dry humor and sarcasm
Hi! I'm an undergrad currently working in a HIV lab and I'm considering the pros and cons of doing an MD-PhD vs an MD. What made you want to take the MD/PhD route if you don't mind me asking?!
People take Phd's because they are over-normal interested in a topic. If you want to do research take a Phd, it is a lot of work and only worth it if you are specially interested. Don't go Phd for any other reason. Just gonna be a bad Phd
Imagine you talk with Sheldon from TBBT ….. Sarcasm battle
Hi I am really interested to go into medicine can u kinda explain how u can do a PhD while being a MD do u have to take a extra course or something
Great choice :) I have vids explaining what the MD PhD is and how it works
czcams.com/video/I0q83iOx2Bs/video.html
Big question, Do you get free time as a trauma surgeon?
Inshallah one day❤️❤️
Let’s have penn verify your attendance. Do you know Taylor bell? Maybe you both can share your diplomas? And verify it by the dean?
I don't think I'd want to eat just before having to cut people open and look at blood and stuff.
Yo you're funny af lmaoooo
Hey man, what do you use to edit your videos???
I’ll make a vid in the future on how I make my vids, been meaning to do this for a while. I use Davinci Resolve, and it’s free
@@RoyceDong thanks homie!
I like you vibe but got me worried about you childhood dramas. Cheeze.😊🤩😂👍
Lmao I was only half kidding
the bonchon in philly doesn't taste so good.
you are so funny
you will accumulate a lot of experience as a doctor in philly given so much murder and gun violence in the city.
Not crepe it’s a type of rice noodle
Entertaining but disturbing. Why can't the American medical system put out more doctors so the doctors are not working on life critical tasks being sleep deprived/half awake. It's not just this video. It seems like a rampant problem where doctors working in trauma are working in a state of being half awake half asleep. With that said, much respect to the hard work the doctors put in.
Yea it’s especially tough when you have to go from a night shift one day to a day shift the next day and completely flip your sleep schedule
China
Let me know when you upload "Day in the life - trauma surgery Wife #6" Keep telling yourself its worth it because its not.

1000 subs is not a lot of subs.
Five minutes of dung to start the video. Thumbs down.
You really need to slow down with your talking, you talk a mile a min. lol. My best advice for you is to keep your eyes and ears opened with you are still learning and keep your mouth shut. Attendings don't really want to hear a bunch of young interns that think they know everything. Remember slow down with your speaking. Good luck in your career.
Too much talk no action, show us TRAUMA
I agree lol
But yea I couldn’t show any patient encounters because of HIPAA
lose the earrings looks ridiculous.
lose the idea of telling others what to do, especially over the internet, especially a surgeon
not very professional with those earrings
I don't know what a simple accessory has to do with someone's professionalism?
Nice video. I understand it's not easy being among the top youtubers, stay strong 🥹
WAWA! Oh my Lord how I love and miss WaWa! 🥲
