- I just returned from my deployment less than a week ago and i wanted to show what all has been done to the truck since I left. I forgot to mention that I had the front fender cut to allow for more clearance of the new tires to prevent rubbing. This video was recorded in full HD from a Samsung Galaxy III S, uploaded in 720p for easier streaming on low bandwidth internet.

well my wife actually made that video, this engine was originally a naturally aspirated engine from a fork lift, same engine as a terrano but with higher compression ratio and no turbo. the previous owner added the turbo which actually makes this engine more powerful than a regular TD27 turbo because i have the slightly higher compression. but its still a slouch on the freeway but i didnt get this for speed :) its a beast off road and gets 35 mpg on the highway even with the bigger tires
Nice job on the engine swap, looks like it can handle the terrain really well after looking at the other videos, but how well does it do at highway speeds? I'm asking because I'm thinking about putting the same engine into my '86 720 4x4 to replace the underpowered 2.4 liter engine, mine does well 4 wheelin and at lower speeds but it really struggles to keep up in 70+ mph traffic so I'm looking fr an engine that has lots of power between 2500 and 3500 rpm
I left you a comment in another vid, I have practically the same setup as you in my 4wd. But my d21 had a v6 I also have another truck with the td27t with intercooler on top which the hood would have a hood scoop
Nice truck. Is it an SE or XE model, does it have an lsd or locker or is it an open diff?
did your transmission and transfercase bolt up work with the diesel?
Good to the D22 you could put the TD27 Turbo engine you would have to change the box do not know, mine is a motor 3.3 4x2 mechanical box

Man I love this so much! I want to put a engine like this in my 97' hardbody! Where on earth did you find that engine. I checked online and they have them on eBay for 2000$ with auto trans. But I want to keep my manual, just have a Diesel engine.

Yeah. I seem that. I'm into muddin. No so much trails. I wonder whee he got it. The car you said it's from is a uk car. The nissan terrano. But yes ebay does have them. Hmm. I'll check again one day soon.

I couldn't tell you. I sold it too long ago and moved back to Ohio. Mine was a 5 speed
